My all T5 closet grow, 2nd grow

Getting very close to harvest time. The Blue Dream, NYD and Pandora's Box are nearly done trichs pretty much all cloudy and getting amber ones as of a few days ago. The Agent Orange and Banana Kush are taking a little longer about 2 weeks behind the others they are just getting some cloudy trichs.

Beautiful nug there, I will definitely be following this grow, only to see how the NYD pans out. Mouthwatering strain right there

Thanks. Yeah it is a yummy strain. Last grow it turned out well so this time should be really good, it smells awesome already. The last 2 pics are some of the NYD, I liked this one so much I grew 3 of them this time.

Going to pull the 2 Blue Dreams and the Pandora's Box at the end of next week. Starting only Ph'd RO water for them as of next watering which will be tomorrow most likely. This will free up some room for the 3 NYD plants, Banana Kush and Agent Orange to finish up, they should be done in another week or 2 after the others. I am so ready for this grow to be done so I can smoke it and move on the the next!

Took a bunch of pics today so I thought I would post them up. Blue Dream and Pandora and 1 NYD are getting the pull tomorrow.







They smell awesome. The Agent Orange smells like orange candy.

Well the harvest started. I pulled and trimmed off the fan leafs the Pandora and Blue Dream, they are now hanging and drying. The NYDs will be following shortly.

Hmmm, I'm growing primarily with a 4 foot 8 tube T5 unit primatily (I also have a 400watt HPS unit), so I'm gonna read this whole thread and add where I can.

The big thing with T5 is training the plants so you can use all the effective light from the T5. Keep the short with lots of tops.

I couldnt agree more. 4" from canopy at 5 weeks flowering.

Yeah, uniformity height wise seems to be the key.

Read the whole thing, you certainly went through some trails and tribulations, but you hung in there.

I’m coming up to my forth week in Veg, then switching over to flowering

Have been using my 4 foot T5 for vegging but will start to alternate in the first month of flowering then switch exclusively to HPS in the second month as an experiment.

Feel free to pop in and have a look at my Grow Journal.

And be sure to document the harvesting period as well to complete the whole cycle.

was wondering what spectrum the purple bulbs are ..

and it's good too see your gonna get some decent smoke...

btw .... too much light is just as bad as too little.. but i have no idea how much is too much ...so you may want to start your next grow with the plants at different heights ...ie 6. 9. 12. and 15 inches and see which has best growth...it would also help if they are all clones from same plant ..as they get older you should let them get closer

Well here is some more info on the grow. I only got 7.9 grams off the Pandora's Box not so great but is lacked light and was in a small pot. The 2 Blue Dream plants yielded 32.55 grams so a increase from my last grow for sure, last grow was 9 grams off 1 Blue Dream. Both strains are curing now for about a week so I should have a smoke report soon. Both smell awesome. The 3 NYD plants are finishing the swell and I hope to pull them by the end of this week but we will see. The yield will be pretty good from the NYD should be close to 1 oz off just the larger plant. The Banana Kush and Agent Orange are taking the longest for sure maybe another 2 weeks, come on already and finish! The yield from those looks like it will be good as well lots of decent sized buds.
Cheapskater the purple bulbs dont have a spectrum rating I asked the sellers for one. They are heavy in the red and are for plant photosynthesis, seem to be working nicely. Next time I will have all 3000K and the purple/pink bulbs, no 6500K mixed in.

Pics of the NYD buds, they will be harvested in a day or 2. I let these get lots of amber trichs.

Ok I just dont get it. The Agent Orange and Banana Kush still look no where near being done. Tomorrow will be day 70 of flower. That and they just dont look or smell as good as the other strains I grow....... Big buds on the tops though.

No not really they where pretty much done the NYD was done for sure. But I was ready to clean up the grow space and kill off all the white flies. As well as get my new setup planned and going so I can start my next grow. Stay tuned for another grow thread.......

Ok so now that this grow is done, I have the closet emptied out and getting it cleaned and I am nearly done with trimming. Now it is time to start figuring out how to put my ideas for the next grow into action. To make things easier to work on and to maximize my lighting I am going to have some sort of rack or shelf to put the plants on and to mount the lights from. The plan is to have the plants totally surrounded by the lighting and to also have a water run off tray under the pots that can be drained out with ease so there is no standing water and thus less chances for bugs. The plan is for 4-6 plants all indica and to keep the short and trained into bonsai like plants with lots of tops, my buddy has them rooting for me right now. I also plan to change my bloom nutes from the Botanicare because I think it gives the finished buds a weird smell, did 2 grows with it and it works ok but I want to try something different. For the rack I am still up in the air about which way to go. I found a metal shelf at Homedopt that will work well and I can just the shelves to many different heights. I am picking up some more larger CFLs and adding some T8s as well. CO2 bags will also be used this grow.
