My Amare Full-Bore Pro-4 Grow #1

7 plants, 7 Amare's + 2, 4 bulb T-5's & 3, 15w spot lights.
All set into the trellis now. 2 more days to acclimate then it's Flowrr time. image.jpgimage.jpgJust bent the branches under. I'll have to do that a few more times during stetch id imagine. Maxed out on hight.

Oh yeah, had great success using side lighting in my HPS room.
Now my specific set-up doesn't need it. I'm growing closer to the white wall now & the cobs reflect pretty hard off that, so that's my side lighting now.
But yeah, if you have the room go for it. I wouldn't take from too to add to side though. Just add some whatever, just eliminating the show seams to make a good increase.
I used the 2 T-5 rigs I have up here as some of the HPS side lighting. Now you can get much better then t-5 in led @ a 1/4 the watts. I'd consider that.
I have some sick ones but I'm using them as above lighting on another system.
I'm Pro-Side-lighting!!!

4ft wide x 2.5ft deep.
540 watts on top of canopy.
Around 180 watts hitting the sides.
The reason there are not many using side lighting is due to space limitations I think.
I'll re jig my diy canopy frames in a few months if my present set up doesn't produce like I think it will.
Keep up the good work on showcasing your Amares.

here is my side lighting.no top lighting.200 watts cxb 3590 per plant think this one got around 8 oz
 
Got freaking Thripes for the first time ever. Threw me for a loop cuz I had no idea how to handle it. Whole garden was sprayed once w/ Organicide (fish guts), didn't work, so then found out to use spinosyn & went w/ Captian Jacks DeadBug. It worked but my OBB (original Blueberry) & C-99 wasn't feeling the double dose of spray. The OBB straight died once it got just a lil dry. She popped back but Ended up chopping them both. To bad, really was looking forward to flowering her. She's a thick hearty girl. Got clones going though. They had major leaf damage. The others didn't like it much either but are plugging away. Oh well, live in learn. Thripes either came from a clone of Afghani or the Coco-Loco soil. FF is notorious for this I hear. image.jpg Pulled the OBB out image.jpgfilled it w/ this Sweet Black Angel that actually started flower w/ the rest under these shop lights. All it really did is stretch though so she's got some filling in & catching up to do. Glad I had her for back up. Now she's soaking up her own Pro-4. image.jpg

Good question! I've been asking myself the same thing. Started off as just going to use one w/ UV (power veg) n UGW over the FLO cuz she's a real light white. Then I saw the other one just laying around w/ just enough non-broken bulbs. One thing lead to another n now they're both up w/ old bulbs n prob. Aren't doing much but wasting my electric & adding heat. Not to mention the 10k bulbs glow for a good 1.5 hours after lights out. I should take them down.
The lil spotties are just helping out the edge of the 450 cuz it's a 4'6" wide space & a lil to close. Noticed some taco'ng so I shut off the monos (they add allot of intensity). Going to get some re-bar to slide through the rings & get a few of these lights another 1.5" higher. The spotties are mild on electric n heat plus they each have there own cola growing under them. 2, 5k's w/ a 3k in the middle.
Yeah, those T-5's are whack.

@Hybridway hanging in there trying to keep busy. Getting myself settled in new space cooler environment low humidity my.only issue so far for the most part but much smaller space to grow. Things will be ramping up soon. That SBA is a beast when dialed in and the smoke is great.

Good to see you rocking and rolling again.

Did a lil bending & weeving to keep the taller girls from being directly under the cobs. There's a ton in the back you can't see as i put the shorter half of them closer to the wall to get the reflection. I'll get some pics on a ladder later into the grow.
Things are going pretty well I'd say. Was nervous they wouldn't do to the double spraying of 2 different Thripe killers right before flower. Had some leaf damage n lost 2 plants but the rest seam to be plugging away nicely.
 
The Sweet black angel looks good, I have (4) clones of it vegging as we speak in DWC buckets!

Beautiful and clean as always in your grow rooms brother.

Thanks homie! Yeah, I'm liking the SBA. cool mix of the classics of indica & Sativa. Never realized how much stretch she catches till now! Lol! Get to really access each plant allot better now w/ this set-up as opposed to my HPS room that was just a huge square of trellis n bud.
Found these old pics from before the HPS room was really set up right. Think it was like my 4th grow ever. I stay erasing pics so was shocked to find these today. Haha! image.jpgimage.jpgThat's back when I scrapped together whatever I could get for lighting n hoods. Boy I miss that room though.
Here's a lil something I've been working on w/ my buddy. Putting my Pro-9 up there this week. Can't use it here cuz the ceiling are just to low to maximize its potential. image.jpgThose are all in 10's. What a room!
