Looking good bro I am anxiously awaiting the readings myself too. MY grow is starting to get rolling over here just need to light up half the flower tent and get plants in there lol. Once that's all going I can look to a light meter for my uses as well. I REALLY want to try an SE-450 but the move from 3590's down to 3070's has me debating with the amount of $$ involved we will see. I need to get my Hortilux 1K platinums sold then I can decide what to do.
I just took cuts off of my rehab GG from seed (not GG#4), and tonight she will go 12/12. I got some cuts of GLP going too, and then my veg tent has a lettuce and some other goodies going as well, I went from damn I need plants to where the hell is all this going real quick lol........

I didn't think my GG was #4 either. Was bomb though n smelled like #4.
Having plenty of plants is always a good thing. You'll be ready to rock n roll once you sell your ballasts. What are you asking for them? I'm thinking bout selling off my hps stuff to but around my parts it's not worth much. Maybe $75 a ballast. I've got nice Phantoms, & Solis-Techs too.
Did you try Craigs List? Grow equipment goes fast on there.
Why, do you believe the 3070's to less efficient or something? That's a common misconception around these parts from all the spreading of misinformation.
If you send 50% of the 3070's total power capacity to it, it is equally efficient as 50% of a 3590's total capacity.
It's when they run at the same current that there's a difference.
The 450 is the best value out of their lights. It's my favorite.

Last time we spoke I had some pretty shitty looking deficiencies. Tried a few different things, had the lights jacked way up still couldn't figure it out. It wasn't the typical calmag signs like I'm used too either. Anyways I added a little extra and overnight difference. Now I'm up to 3tsp per gallon vs 1/2tsp and the plants are exploding. Lights down low and healthy as can be.
This is turning out to be monster grown under the pro4. 2 plants 450watts. Funny part is that guy who built a single light is still talking shit about amare. These were seeds 45 days ago.

I still can't get over how fast those autos grow.
My big grower friend just ran a Northern Lights Auto & is sold on them now. He's in the process of running 24 Autos in their own special auto room. You were right. I'll deffinetly be trying autos within the next few months. I'll lyk when I do so you can point me in the right direction.
You make a good point about most of the guys that build a light thinking they're experts. Not all, but the young ones at least. The funny thing is, to top it off, they're usually pre-fab builds to. I wouldn't be bragging I know it all if all I did was screw a few sinks to a frame & plug it in.
Because they are young & new to led, they lack the knowledge of all the research that went into led growing prior to cobs.
I've been saying this since day one, cobs are not anymore efficient then good white diodes. They're cheaper to produce & offer the benefit of the cluster under the phosphor which allows a mighty single source les. So, in my opinion, they are best used in conjunction w/ diodes & monos.
One main benefit to LEDs is the ability to choose your spectrum. Which is very important. I woukd not grow with today's tech straight white as long as o have the option to enhance it.
That would be like saying all the research & Development that went into R+B is bunk. It deffinitly is not. But Burple alone is not good. Just as white alone is not the best. Soon they'll make white with built in R+B for horticulture & they will be the shit.
Gonna be needing those cobs soon so o can prove it in a side by side. By the end of this month if possible. I'll want the singles for the Cloak but will also need a fixture for the comparison. I'd say 8 3070's just as close together as the 450, made to run at exactly the same wattage. Thanks SmoBro.

I remember when you first got your 450's saying how violently they grew in comparison to your Kinds n previous burples. That's the best description I've heard as of yet.
