3500k is the best baseline cob for both. Monos increase the amount of red and blue. Whilestill getting all the benefits of the 3500k. Unlike the eco sunlight lights which has 6500k cobs and 6500k leds which is foolish. There is no compromise with the main engine.

I veg with Amare and also veg with 3500k cobs. With my cobs I add in a blue led bar. It's the same thing. To complicate an already advanced light having 4 switches instead of 3 would be ideal. Blue and red leds could be on separate switches. Could also add in wi-fi, temperature sensors and cup holders too. I'm emailing Vic right now.

i agree 3500k cob can do both and it does both extremely well. sure you can augment the spectrum and get more desirable results in your environment and thats cool, but super charging with mono is just ridiculous your playing with the spectrum. maybe you guys could not make it about the company for once and just acknowledge that cobs can do they same thing as adding monos

Not make it about the company we are talking about? Lol ok. I don't know how many more runs of plain cobs vs enhanced cobs I can do to prove to myself that adding in more blue and more red is beneficial. More importantly since these are grow lights I consecutively hit very high gpw numbers. That's the verdict and that's the end my trying to explain what works to someone who doesn't care about the important facts.

i thought we just talking about the spectrum shifting. i honestly dont have anything against the light, i actually had a fondness for them till somebody came around with a bad attitude. Im glad the augmenting has worked so well for you but it has let down others, like myself. once you start adding all the extras i admit it gets complicated thats another reason why i stopped with the monos cause in my small grow environment 4x4 i didnt notice enough of a difference to keep messing with extras KISS. its offensive that you would say that i ignore the the facts when i watch most of the grows around here, have you noticed the shift to higher cri cobs in the past couple months? could it be that they have a more desirable spectrum from other people running different grows or are you the only one who can come up with proof of what works best?

I wouldn't waste my time trying to explain the benefits. They also overlook the fact that this spectrum fills the gaps that white light does not no matter the CRI. Not to mention high CRI is nice but nowhere close to the Amare spectrum. It's an ongoing wasted time debate to discuss this w/ guys that don't n won't understand. More output of a true full spectrum = happier plants, higher yields & better quality.

Whilest these guys argue for electrical efficiency we strive for the combination of electrical & photosynthetic efficiency. After all, we are growing plants.

SunCloak Arrived last night. Ha! I'll tell ya what. This light costs more to ship them most good 300w leds cost to buy. Lol! Mad boxes.

Electrical is done. Scroggiesh is built.
Quick clean-up & I'm hanging lights.
Still have to transplant & veg these babies back to health before flower starts.
Figuring the show will start in about 10 days guys. Thanks for your patience & keeping the thread going.
This run I will be starting 2 new threads. 1 for Amare & 1 for SunCloak.
They both have their own sides of the room.
Amare is 15'x4.5'.
SunCloak is 8'x4'.

I am waiting on a ss260epi to ship. I like these Amare and more then that I like that Victor fella. Even if Amare leds are not the best I bet there isn't a light boss like Victor. For me friendship comes at first cause that shit is hard to buy or DIY.
I have a chinese 2 eyed bitch with lenses same as Amare 3070 so I wanna Cree it, 1x 3000k and 1x 5000k so I have diversity with it.
Other than that my man, I am looking for strains to kick my ass and ...

I also like what the dinosaurs (jk) are doing. Old school stuff... love it. I am newb but I am positive the elder are the real scientists.

To play devils advocate and have more info they should toss up the spectrum for the Eye Hortilux 600W Blue MH as well. Just my $0.02 that's a VERY popular bulb and a lot of guys run them in veg and flower because the Blue produces more frost and terps with only slightly less yield.

Just my $0.02

Theyre not like a turbocharger, its like having an extra lawn mower engine added to your total horsepower... its not really even noticed Still haven't seen the PPFD in a 4x4 at any height. The D is the important part so lets not confuse PPF for it please.

Working on it. Getting into flower's the most important thing but I did promise everyone I'd do it, so I will. Finishing the build & the newer Apogee MQ-500 should be here anyday.
It will be PPFD. Anyone can get the center reading for these lights anywhere. Many of us have them from the owner. When they started w/ the SE-350, they provided ppfd for it & are working on getting it for all of them on the site.
Till then, I'll do my best. I saw yours you did on depth ppfd on the Mogul, DE, & Cobs. Good job!
