my arjans 1# using 400hps,

Dgaf: No, I didn't just order 10 seeds, I was referring to the 10 Arjan #3 that I'm presently trying to finish. Those I got a 100 percent germination rate and a 100 percent female plant turn-out, and they were all Arjan's #3. For germination I just put the seeds on a paper towel, and covered it with another paper towel. Then I just wet it (but not soaked), put it in my dresser drawer (a great dark place), and re-wet them when needed. I'd say they took between 4-7 days to germinate. They did not all pop at the same time, so you've gotta be patient. I wasn't so surprised that they all germinated as I was that they all were female. But shoot, they were feminized, so I expected they would be. Then I grew them under a regular tube flourescent light for a month, then switched them to a 400 watt HPS for about 3 weeks, then outside for 3 months, and now back inside until done. Been quite the trip. Here's a pic from last night. I'd have a few more pics but my young son has seriously screwed up my Canon a-80 camera and it really is taking crappy pictures:

lookin gd, how far have u got that lamp from the canopy??

the buds on mine are really fillin out now , an the hairs are probably 60-40 orangey brown, havnt got a microscope or magna glass so not sure how long left but i dont think to far now

i no its not easy to see from these pics, but wot ways can i check to see if there done without a magnafine glass?

THey're starting to fill in very well indeed. My lamp is probably a foot or so from the tops of the plants. As for telling when they're ready, you could just go by the hardness of the bud, or when the pistils are browned and curl back into the bud.

how long in are you? buds are fattening nicely. i would definately get a jewellers lupe or microscope if possible, a magnifying glass isn't really powerful enough to check the trichomes. with the arjans i would recommend mostly milky colour with a couple of amber. they look quite good for only a 4oo watter, nice grow

Why would you recommend mostly milky colour trichromes with the Arjan's?

I had a look at mine under the microscope this past Saturday. It was really the first clear evidence of them being visible to the naked eye. When I looked, it was an impressive display. Trichromes everywhere, but no real stem on them. They looked like little balls. All were cloudy. None transparent and none amber. Most interesting.

day 54, 7 weeks! i had read that using boost sped things right up, but wasnt expecting this quick, that is, unless they have still got a way to go of cause.

i really do need to get hold of a microscope, most of the hairs on the top buds are aorange now an the buds feel quite hard,

just keep doin wot i do i spose, waitin, tender to their frickin needs, then wait some more aye!

it's just my preference. with a hazes they tend to be more of an uplifting head high, if you harvest with mostly milky trics you will be getting a nice buzz with little to no couch lock, moron inducing consequences. again its just my opinion, i'm sure you will be happy with the results either way.

lazyeye you will get at least 3 oz per plant, the canna boost might be an accelerator but it will not chop 3 weeks off your grow time. give them the full 10+ weeks and you will end up with baseball bats. dont worry about the red hairs too much

yeah gd advice, i took a bud from the middle of a branch, only a nug, put it in a brown paper enverlope an left it on my light balas for about 3.5 hours yestaday,

no couch lock, just a very intense head high, quite phsicadelic feeling had a right fit of the giggles wiv the misses.

gona let them go at least another 3weeks, that'll be 10 weeks, then flush for a week

10-12 is what's recommended on the GHS site.

Well, I've got the 2nd 400 watt HPS up as of last night. One wasn't quite doing it, I think. So, the girls all have a bit of elbow room now. Will get some pics this weekend. Things are starting to get sticky.

that is going to make a massive impact on ur growth steampick, i wish i had put another 400 hps in my room to get maximum yeild, especially as ive not taken

anymore clones, an for now im just going to finish wot i have hen grow somthin diffrent, i have 1 arjans 1#wich is only 8-9 " wich i took out of flower to go back into veg an keep

the diffrence im seeing in these arjans are gettin me so exited now, wasnt long ago i was measuring the top colas against my thumb, but the last couple of days, im tellin u,

if it wasnt for use at RIU they would be cut an drying by now, for the first time im actually eager to just let them do there thing,

It already looks way roomier. The plants are very tall, but I've chopped a lot of the lower branches off, and pruned in close to the stalk on its lower half. Wasn't expecting to put these inside at all, but am very glad I now did. I could get used to this inside/outside/inside routine.

man thats lookin hazy. you got to leave it though, they will double in size come 3 weeks time. cut off a sugar leaf and look at it under the magnifier outside your grow room, and for your own sake, don't chop until its at least all milky with some amber.

Went and checked mine last night and they're doing fine. My camera, though, is deteriorating (flash is screwed and pics are dark). I notice you've got the same leaf tip curling/drying as I do. I had been giving them just water the last week so gave them some 10-50-10 last night. I'm saying mine are entering week 7, so they've got a ways to go.

I did examine a little bud under a microscope and the trichromes, which I thought were all cloudy, showed mostly clear (I had to tilt the leaf sample to see the stems of the trichromes; last time I was looking so straight down them that they didn't look like they had stems and appeared cloudier than they really were).

Anyway, we've got some waiting to do. Shoot, drying takes about 10-14 days, and curing, which I'm definitely doing, could take another month, so don't throw away your dealer's number just yet.

the folage with boost, they look done to me, on every bud , the leaves comin out are all poinying upwards an are crispy right on the ends, curling up, ? does this mean anything??
