hay guys these are my two babies! i just wanted to share, comments and advice is welcome!
they are 31 days old, no preflowers that i can see as of yet.
dont know the strain, they were an "indoor mix" that i got from the seed bank.
they currently have 7 cfl bulbs on them, most are 23-26 watts, i have one 40 watt soft white one. the otherweeks are daylight.
i would also like to know if i can put plastic under them where the stem is along the dirt or should i leave it? i just dont want mould.
i water them about once a week.. i just got ph tester drops and ph'd my water but the runnoff is still really low, should i bump up the ph in the water that i water them with to raise the soil ph or should i leave it and just water them with properly ph'd water?
they dont seem to be suffering any, i think i had some nute burn a while back but i cut the brown off the tips and stopped the nutes which stopped the burn.
oh also, i picked many leafs off to expose the stem to light so she did have lots more leafs before
are they small? i only give them nutes every third watering or so and only at half strength, should i bump the doses up?
i have molassas too that i add to the water, should i stop that and wait till budding for the molassas?
thanks for the help!!!

heres the pics, i uploaded them cause the pic uploader on this site doesnt work on the cell phone:

ya they are tied down and held down in other places with metal wire bent into a hook, thats why they are on the side of the pot and so bushy!
new tops are growing all along the stem now :)
i want her to go all the way around the pot then i will flower! hoping both are girlies

thanks for the compliment :)

  • i would also like to know if i can put plastic under them where the stem is along the dirt or should i leave it? i just dont want mould.

No need ...humidity is the main factor you're looking at for mold. High is good in veg but no higher than 65% is a rule. 45-50% RH for flower.

i water them about once a week.. i just got ph tester drops and ph'd my water but the runnoff is still really low, should i bump up the ph in the water that i water them with to raise the soil ph or should i leave it and just water them with properly ph'd water?

You'll need to start watering them more often soon.

If pH is a problem you should flush them really well with x3 pH water at 6.3 between weekly nutes or until pH is good. Test the pH in the nutes then test the pH in the run off. Don't keep feeding them if pH is way off or you'll probably end up locking out some nute elements and causing damage.

are they small? i only give them nutes every third watering or so and only at half strength, should i bump the doses up?

At that size you can start nuting weekly. Start with a half dose on week one and nute weekly with full dose with clean pH water and maybe some super thrive in between.

i have molassas too that i add to the water, should i stop that and wait till budding for the molassas?

Most people use molasses during flush and I've read that some use it with organic mixes during flower. I'm using a tbs. of pure table sugar per gallon water with a 10 day flush...my nute system has a peak and swelling agent and I whacked'em good with it before starting final flush.

Hope this helps. Hope other people can back my comments or or at least set you straight... figuratively speaking of course.

thanks a lot sheesh!
i only water them once a week or so cause my pots are pretty large so they hold quite a bit of moisture. they are growin fast though!
i think you can use any kind of sugary product while watering, i knew a guy who would use icing sugar and his plants loved it!
i will flush my plants with ph'd water soon ro get the ph right
i didnt want to give them too many nutes cause the nutes make the water wayyyy too acidic and i cant seem to raise it to 6.8 :/
im using fish ph drops which cost an arm and a leg.. is there anything else i can use to adjust my ph (bring it up)?
i haaaateeee ph!!

thanks arcaned! its so fun growing my babies :)

With smaller undeveloped root systems I only have to soil feed in veg once a week however at very least I foliar feed them on a regular basis. Get a cheap spray bottle that has never had chemicals in it and just spray them down. pH the water if you can. Add a couple drops of super thrive in and BAM!!! THEY LOVE IT!!! Super thrive is like $10 a bottle at many hardware and garden centers and lasts quite long if you're just using a few drops a week for feeding the leaves. It is also a good application in the soil.. particularly when the plants are stressed due to bad things or when you're transplanting them, topping, pruning, etc...

Check out this RIU post. It might help you.

https://www.rollitup.org/organics/41265-lemon-juice-decrease-ph.html

You can safely use lemon to drop pH. It's base is 2.0. Google it and you'll not only find info on lemon but also on other safe household items you can use to adjust pH.

btw for those of you who didn't know... lemon is also the most natural way to get rid of heart burn for the same reason :)

So the next time a TUMS isn't working... suck on a lemon for 5 seconds and poof!!!

im goin to this awesome new hydro shop i found today to get ph upper and superthrive (i didnt know lemon was a base lol)
last time i went to look for superthrive it was 24$ for a tiny bottle, the new place i found today sells it for 28$ a bottle so thats great!
i have a spray bottle too its 32oz so i spray them just after lights off and once more during lights on

i just told my dad about the lemon and how it can help heart burn, i had no idea lol
he gets it all the time so that should help a lot

thanks for the good info budds :)

you can spray them with lights on if you're using CFL. np ... move the lamps up a couple inches if you're nervous.

I read most places that super thrive should go in to the soil, and shouldn't be used in folia feeding/misting

even now looking at my bottle it say to use it in the soil, if you read closely between all the crap on the bottle, but yea I must agree, it works, in Veg, in the soil, as it is as fare as my researches go, mainly a root stimulant with a lot of vitamins and hormones added, not said it would hurt it, but IMO folia feeding/misting is for correcting a deficiency, regular feeding should be in the water/soil

if you mist em, us as fine mist as possible, and mist em under the leaves (where its pore`s are located and where it "breath") only thing I like to add is a wetting agent to break water tension (yucca/wet betty) I also like to use rain or bottle water as my tap keep a lot of lime, don't look nice on the leaves ;)

and I only really do it when they are seedlings and maybe in early veg if the RH is low (under 40%) once they are bigger they have enough roots to keep em with water

and dont worry to much about PH .. IF your soil have the right PH from the start (6-7) it will be pretty hard and take longer then the plant live to really fuck that up, soil do work as a buffer, of course if your water is highly acid/alkaline from the start (below 5,5 or above 8 ) your soil will be affected over time and plants will have a hard time (Dolomite Lime or Mearl can be used here if it drop to low)

IMO get a cheap drop test kit (GH make a nice little one, google it) as its plenty for soil, and don't put to much in to run off, hard to do much with the number other then if you keep a eye on it and see a difference, many also sell PH up/down, I only buy the PH down bottle as my tap water is 7,4 coming out, so even with full nuts Im still around them 6,2-6,8 I like to keep it at
