Impressive, she's pulling thru! Yeah just make sure you add that perlite to the dirt for those clones. The roots will love you for it and it'll loosen up that heavy dirt. Your well on your way Bro!:bigjoint:

Thanks for the reply.. I have MG moisture control . Idk if thats a good soil or not. It was recommended form a friend that has been growing successfully with it . I have a small desk fan , Blowing on low idk if that enough. I Just want my first grow to be successful.
Dude you should never use any of the MG soil for seedlings ever. It is way too hot for them. Use that type soil after they are established a little bit more. Maybe in week 3-4 of veg. Always go 18/6 veg cycle or u will have poor growth with the cfls. Also I would raise your lights to maybe 6" because you could be bleaching out the delicate seedlings. When u switch to 12/12 I recommend swaping out to a few 43w cfls that are between 2600-3000 lumin range. The spectrum change is better for flower growth. Ive learned all this hands on trial and error. I veg with cfl but flower using led and cfl. 20140523_120403.jpg 20140523_120512.jpg 20140523_120020.jpg 20140316_132130.jpg Good luck bro and enjoy your garden.

6. At this stage the cotyledon's shouldn't be turning yellow at this stage. That should not happen until the 3 or 4th set. I also see that the new leaves growing in are yellow already which means it's really sick but not dead you can still save it.
Your cotyledons are going to wither and turn yellow when they have sufficient veg growth to produce their own food. I've had some that yellow and wither after the first set and some that didn't until the 3rd.

Either way the plants healthy on its way.. Yeah I've been told not to worry about the cotyledons . My plants green and to see this thing grow so fast is amazing

hey man, im in your situation... I got 3 plants growing under one 55w 3800 lumens & four 26w 1600 lumens CFL, how many plants you got??
If I be you I would focus more one the light spectrum like using Couple 6500k cfls for vegg and mix of 6500k & 2700k cfls for the flowering

About the vegg cycle I think it's useless having a few hours of darkness during vegg remember cannabis isn't a plant it's weed (like the ones that overgrow gardens) cannabis plant doesn't need to rest in vegg cycle. I used full 24/24 and I saw enormous grow just under single 80w 6500k cfl bulb (pineapple chunk Barneys farm)

1. Cannabis is a plant. Common weeds like thistle and ragweed are also plants. In fact, cannabis is more closely related to hops (the flowering plant commonly used in beer) than it is a garden weed.

2. In nature your cannabis plant will naturally get cycles of darkness. Here's a decent break down of why an 18/6 is going to be better in MOST cases:

@CwHall- if your plants are growing then stick with your current light cycle and save some off your power bill. When I've used 24/0 the result has been tighter node development and for me the extra cost of running my HID setup was not worth it. Think logically- where in the world (with the exception of polar regions) would your plant receive 24 hour light?

I can say the same compare us we get vitamins and minerals from food so why do we supplement them ? Naturally the plant has cycles of light/darkness so why do you start the flowering by triggering it by change of light period when you can just wait for the plant to flower when it's supposed to, I did it couple of times I get faster growing plants 6 hours gap a day =42h per week....
am more onto manipulate growth because that's when you can tap onto plants full potential

Why? Because we're convinced by a multi-million dollar industry that we need extra supplements. Reality- most people consume enough vitamins and minerals in the course of a normal diet.

You start the flowering by changing the light period to simulate the changes in season a plant would see outdoors. Less daylight in the fall triggers a plant to make buds, which is why changing your light cycle indoors is used to stimulate the development of buds/flowering; http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/1596.html

See I was told this, but I kinda did it opposite I guess (stoner) but I had three 6500 spec and two 2700 spec during flowering and switch to all 2700 spec when I started 12/12. basically the same thing? bcuz my plants are growing amazingly now about a week n a half into flowering-just starting to show sex but too early to tell...
