My clones are wilting, they are about 4 days old. They werent wilting at first but now they've seem to wilt. I'm using a 120v 60hz hydro grow light and its about 1ft 1/2 inches away from the hydroponic system where my clones are. I feed them yesterday using foxfarm grow big liquid plant food. Not sure i was suppose to feed that early. Can anyone help?

what is ur nutrient level. when mine were little(first 2 weeks)i kept it at 4.5-5.0.....its safer to under do then over do it.Fo Sho i would not use any advance nutes untill a month or older.
happy growings

I presume you have the clones in rockwool.
Rookwool should be rinsed and soaked in pH 5.0 over night. Shake access water out of the rockwool. Dip the clones in rooting power and put them in the cubes. Then keep the clones in 6 hours of darkness, then switch to 24/24 or 18/6 hour light/dark. Only feed the clones water ph 5.8 untill they have roots showing through the bottom of the rockwool, then transport them to whatever system you are going to use. Then feed them nutrients. Clones dont need too much light so your light is fine.

Im new to growin, so how do u measure the nutrient level? lol. Could you help me out and explain please.

Now. Rince them a few times with plain water pH5.8, gently give them a few flicks of the wrist, to get rid of the excess water. Let them sit until the next day.
Feeding clones water, i just put about 5mm of pH 5.8 water in the arse of a tuberware container and dip the bottom of the rockwool in it for about 2 seconds for the first few, and around 3 seconds for the rest (that depends on how many clones a person has). That should do them to the following day.

You would be best getting a ppm meter, if you don't have one, just use about 1/4 strength nutrients, when you transfer to your system.

You are going to have to do a bit of reading, people here should know the basics before they start asking questions, it would take all day explaining the basics,
Give these a wee read...

I have 5 clones and 3 of them are a small size about 4-5 inches and the other 2 are about 6-8. One of the large clones is wilting while the other is doing ok. But all of the smaller clones are extremely wilted. I fed them yesterday with foxfarm grow big liquid plant food. Im not sure what you mean by nutes(I'm guessing nutrients). How do i measure the nutrient level, what device do i need to buy to measure if one is needed? Ima nooby lol. so yeah if u can help me out that be great.

Ok, I read the GrowFaq and it help me some what. I understand that my clones are wilting possibly because of tempature and not enough air ventilation. But im worried if i fed them too early since the 2 bigger clones have taken root faster than the smaller ones and thus the smaller clones have more severe wilting than the larger clones. But yet are both wilting. So im not sure entirely what the problem is, maybe as u said the nutrient level is too high but i do not yet have the measuring tool for that. So do you recommend anything in the meantime to help preserve the life of the clones?

Yeah, im doing soil as well as a hydroponic system. The clones aren't from my mother plant but one of my friends. Im growing 5 other plants in soil and they are doing great. It did come across my mind that the clones and the soil plants are going to be on different schedules and i figured that might be a problem as well. But right now im trying to save my clones. Just in the past couple hours they have gotten even worse. So im not sure what i should do. Im gonna read those links u provided and see if it can help any. Thank You

Have you a pH meter?
If you dont have a ppm meter, go to the shop and get a few litres of bottled water, no carbonated. Fill a tuberware container up with it, PH it down to 5.8, get a glass, fill it with the pHed water, submerge the hole rockwool cube in it, take it out, cup your hand round it, leave a space between your finger and gently flick your wrist. Then get rid of that water in the glass, fill it up with the pHed water again, and repeat that 2 or 3 times to all clones. Leave them until tomorrow, and only feed them water.

Yes, i have a dome over my hydroponic system to keep the humidity. I spray the whole inside of the cover to increase humidity. I did this 2-3 times a day.

I think you have the rockwool saturated, and is to high in concentrate in nutrients.
Plus they have to be warm (around 26c) and humid as LDB stated.

Too much water your drowning and sufficating them, the rockwool is only to be moist, the dome will take care of the rest.

They are pretty warm and humid im sure. I think im just feed them too early and thats what caused the wilting. I could be wrong.
