Here is what I do ....super simple and 99% success from the first time I cloned.
Take presoaked peat pellet and give it a light squeeze so its not soaked. then use a pen refill to make a nice little hole. Now pick your clone site and cut the stem a cppl nodes down. Then cut the stem on an angle and split the stem lengthwise from the bottom about 1/8 inch. then dippy dippy in rooting compound. I am using liquid right now but i prefer the powder. Clones seem to root faster in the powder for me. now just stick clone in peat pellet and give light squeeze to secure stem.
Now take some clean sheers and cut the fan leaves. Cut about 1/3 of each leaf off.
put in tray, spray, then put the dome on. I have 2 cfl bulbs almost touching the dome. humidity stays at about 80-92% constantly. Also if u can get a heat mat for seedlings it will cut your rooting time in 1/2. spray every day for the next 6-15 days. all my clones usually root in the first week...
Once I see roots come out they go in little containers in soil and back under a dome. then over the next two or three days i gradually open the vents on the top of the dome.......let the little buggers get adjusted to the natural humidity of my grow closet. Third day good to go under cfl for a week then bam...600watt MH.
Good Luck, hope this helps.
PS. I have tried rockwool, bubbles and soil for cloning. I have even read that people are dead set against peat pellets for cloning. BUT i love them and have had nothing bud good strong clones come from them.
