all these people comparing graf to writing inside someones home or car.. its completely different, most graf is done on ugly walls no one gives a shit about owned by the state. Its unbelievable people would even consider jailing someone for 4 and a half years for this and it shows how controlled our society is.
Even if you use the anology of drawing on someones car, if you cauht someone drawing on your car you wouldnt lock them in a cage for 4 and a half years? no. so why should the state. rapists get less than that.
Grafiti is art that cant be drawn on canvas, the whole idea of it is its on some public space leaving your mark as an individual, just like it was when the ancient egyptians did it. so saying 'i love grafitti but you should only do it on your own property' is like sayin i love tattoos drawn on rugs. I guess either you get it or you dont but theres no way he should be put in jail for it, at the very worst make him go round and paint over it, but 4 and a half years jail? come on..
