Always free to offer my opinions, msg me with details and budget. Being a DIY guy (Master Electrician by Trade, maybe someday EE) I build all my stuff and go for pretty low budget. I think with everything I have still under $1k invested and have enough stuff to grow single plants for years and have enough stuff to design a 20 plant system. I have been looking at how much little power can I consume. My lighting in my tents is an actual 200 watts of LED. My 225cfm fan is also DC on a PWM controller, but uses a max of 50 watts. The Peltier I use to cool my nutrients is 50 watts, another 15 watts in that system for the pump and fan to cool it(watercooled). Water for RDWC system 5w. Still haven't found a 12v Air pump I like and is quiet enough to sit next too. But sitting at a conservative 400 watts of power, using PC power supply, high efficiency, 400x 1.15 = 460, round up to 500w of power to produce consistent high quality weed. Easily could be done in an off the grid home, less loss with a 48v system. I will be expanding this to a 2x4x6 tent next, which will become flower tent to set up perpetual of some sort and this little tent will become a 4 bucket RDWC for Vegging. For now I used 100 watts of LEDs, which is insufficient to veg significantly, they will grow. My other plants below.
Another White Widow, actually older than the plant flowering now. It got root rot and mold as a seedling..........but I was able to save it when many would of just scrapped it. Very robust plant, have broken her stem, pulled, trimmed, she just keeps slowly getting bigger. I do not feed back on any deficiency you see, thank you. Any you see was just from my neglect since where she is at is currently annoying to get out. This will change soon.
Here is my seedling, broke ground 1/9/16. My current Sig picture at 6 days. Transplanted to spray bucket at 7 days. Going into DWC bucket today.
The WW hasn't seen any other light than the above little alcove since 1/9 when I pulled it from tent to go 12/12. The Afghan Kush x Black Domina has only seen a 13w Ottlight and the above alcove it's whole life, 16 days.
