It's in soil with nutes already in it. If it was in a lighter or less-nuted medium, I would agree with you.

typically in slow release soils the nutrients are water soluble, and would thus drain out with water as it drained out... since its an off brand miracle grow like medium, I would imagine that they leak out fairly quickly (especially with bark in it). Even high quality, water holding, slow release, nutrient rich soils like FF recommend you start using nutes after 18-22 days (three weeks). Those leaves are a bit pale, and so long as the first few feedings are rich in b1, and well diluted (half strength feedings), there will be no burn. Start small go big, and less is more, but that baby needs some TLC. Mine are just over 30 days old, and are almost 4 feet tall...

well, i mean good luck getting rid of naturally occurring ants. unless you see them fucking with your plant, leave them. they may actually deter other bugs.

i wouldn't really sweat the ants, just watch for damage and aphids, some ants will actually carry aphids and put them on your plant. If you really want to kill them i guess you can use "DE" i probably have the spelling wrong but i think its Diatomacious Earth it's like little microscopic crystals that tear hard shelled bugs to pieces. I would think it safe to use alot of stuff though since your still in veg.

go find a some spiters and put them around your plants and hope they stay...thats the ultimate bug get awayer...ive got a nice green spiter chillin on one of my plants..hes been there for about 2 weeks now..im named him pete

I found three praying mantises, and put them in my garden, also... ants usually do deter other pests, they are probably going after your perlite... they drink the water there. it you see aphids, get rid of them... get some lady bugs and release them in there, thats the best advice... lots and lots of lady bugs, a couple of mantises, and you should be fine!

Is there any sort of like...ant repellant sorta sh*t i can put near, in, or around the soil of my plant?

try to climb up in the trees and brake some limbs down the sun hit it directly it looks like for about 2-3 hours

There are pellets that are used as a barrier around houses that lost up to 12 months and are rather cheap. That is where I would go to if I an ant issue. (Actually I did, and I did go to lowes and got that stuff.)
