My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

No, I didn't revert back to veg. I was going to, but instead I just took clones as soon as I saw it was female, and reverted them back to veg as they rooted. It took a little over three weeks for the clones to start growing. I'm guessing that is from the shock of reverting.

Another progress report. The buds are starting to get fat and vertical growth has slowed to about one inch per week. About two weeks left plus a few days of flushing and she should be ready to harvest.

Sorry it's taken so long for me to update my weekly progress. I just started flushing my plant using 1/4 strength nutrent solution. The plant has pretty much quit growing taller, but the buds have started to get fatter and more dense. I never had a kola bud this big when I was growing in soil.

I see you only have about 1/4 of your pistils have turned brown. Have you checked the color of your trichomes? Looks like you could probably wait 7-10 more days before harvest, but of course it does depend on your strain.. A Bigger yeild is always better though.
Your only flushing for 3 days? its usually best to flush for 10-14 days the bud will taste better, once you have burnt some bud with lots of nutrients in it you don't want to again.

Well the grow looks great though... very jealous of your upcoming harvest, good luck and keep us posted I would like to know what yeild you got.

I've been flushing it for the last week on a very low PPM res, 1/4 strength of what I used while budding. The crystals are opaque. From my understanding they go through three phases. First they are clear, then they turn opaque (milky), finally they turn amber. I read that if you harvest when they are opaque you get more of a head high, and if you wait till they are amber tou get more of a stoney, body high. If this is untrue, somebody please let me know while I still have time to avoid a disaster.

I cut the top.

Heres what is left.

Next crop is doing good.

So are my Habanero plants and my apple tree.

Actual flowering time for this strain is going to be about 11 weeks. The clones that I've started to flower, are flowering faster than the origional plant that was started from seed. Is this common? Maybe that is the reason why a lot of people say 8 weeks to flower. It looks like the plants from clone are maturing faster than the plant from seed. Possably because clones are basically mature plants as soon as they are rooted. Unlike plants from seed which go through a seedling stage. Any input on this?????

Again.... Does anyone know if the flowering duration is shorter with plants started from clones versus plants started from seed?

Going into week 12 now and I wish I had waited to top it. I guess you learn from experience. The bud is good, but it's not knock you on your ass good. The high is kinda cool. It's a spacey kinda high, like taking vicodin or somthing. It comes on quick, but it only lasts for about an hour. There are still way more buds left on the plant to harvest. The trics are just starting to turn amber, maybe two or three for every hundred. The buds have swelled a little in the past week, but nothing like they did in about week six or seven.

P.S. The top started at a weight of 37 grams at harvest, and ended at 13 grams after drying. Is that above, below, or about average weight loss from drying. (About 28% of origional weight)

So far I've harvested about 2 oz from this plant, and I estimate that there is about another 1/2 oz of bud still on the plant. Does anybody know if this is a good yield for a plant that was 3 feet tall and about 2 1/2 feet wide?

It seems impossable to get answers to questions on this site. Maybe it's because this forum is too busy, or it could be because there are too many new growers for the veteran growers to be able to help. Either way, this will be my last post. Good luck, and happy harvesting to all.
