My experiment so far (:

I have 5 Super Lemon Haze plants bigger than me. I started only with one 400MH lamp and they're in their 5th week of flowering. They've developed quite differently...3 of them are bigger then me...and I'm tall. The other two are shorter and full of fluffy, fat, crystal covered buds. One of them has already reddish brown trichomes and I'm thinking of harvesting that one earlier. I have no pics yet cuz' my cam died on me.
I placed the lamp 45 degrees incline for the lower parts to get some light as well. I know I should have started bigger...with another 600HPS, LST and 2 rooms and everything, but hey...we learn practicing.
I'm really happy with this first experiment and took quite a lot of clones.

AWsome, wish it was harvest time at my farm. Sounds like u better cut it down if it has reddish trichones allready. Thats not early, thats actually late. All cbds.

You could also look into topping/fimming/lst'ing your plants for better canopy management.

Making your 400w more efficient can boost it's effectiveness. Here is a little chart I made to show some principles behind indoor lighting.


Keeping your canopy as even as possible is very beneficial.

With a 400 hundred your really only going to be able to penetrate 3 feet and a 600 is about the same. So some supplemental lighting for the lower area is recommended. Also some reflective areas at the bottom helps too. Another trick you can try. Harvest the main colas when ready but not the entire plant. Get them back under the light and the smaller pop corn buds will fill out a little more for you.

Thank you! I'll give my best with lst next time...(even though I kept on lollipoping them...for a better upperside level) and about the lights, many more to come soon. Just need another pricey investment.
