Hey all, first time poster, longtime lurker. This is my first real grow (have done a couple of previous less than enthusiastic attempts).
I went soil germination and 24/0 on the light for first 5 weeks. These pics are from today, one week into 12/12.
I have 9 CFLs ranging from the 23w smallish ones to the full blast 100w replacement mid sized ones, you all know the ones i speak of. Figure well over 10k lums.
I used regular nuted potting soil and started right in the big pots to avoid transplanting stress.
My question is whether anybody else has had experience with using a 2700k-5000k mix through flowering as opposed to going full blast 2700k with everything. In my research there seems to be mixed reviews (as with anything i suppose). Im of the opinion and understanding that there is 2700k spectrum coming out of a 5000k bulb, and getting a close to sunlight full spectrum for bud growth can be helpful if done right (very close to plants, which you cant do with HPS or even 2700k bulbs that heat up).
Anyway, heres what im hoping are two hot chicks, one week into flowering and am seeing just a hint of what i hope are the tighty whitey hairs.
Thoughts on the lighting would be great. Thanks
