My second chamber has one of these (see pic) which is where Ill be looking after it when it becomes a mother plant.Yup looking good. And yes the fan will make small differences for now, but slowly and shortly the fan will increase the strength and good health for the plant over all. Just keep them lights right on them and consider maybe getting more bulbs as you will need it sooner than u think.
Ive decided to use "Al B Fucts Get a harvest every 2weeks" method so Im going to look after it in the second chamber which has a different type of fluorescent light (see pic) this gets very hot much more than the 1st chamber but Im still researching exactly what kind of lights they are as Im not convinced they are ordinary fluros.Had to read a little to get caught up with the action! Looks like they're coming along. I saw that your setup comes with a 400w cool tube fix. Are you going to move the plants into that portion to continue veging after the seedling stage is over?
Thanks Trickky!looking good!!!
Ill keep my fingers crossed for the other one.
I wait until I see multiple roots at the bottom of the pot, when there are 5 - 10 roots visible in the drain holes then I know that the plant has developed a pretty good root system and is ready for transplanting.
I have a similar fluoro for vegging I think it has exactly the same bulbs too. They do get quite a bit hotter than CFL's. I can get mine to within 3-4 inches of the plant, they are more than adequate for keeping a mother with.
As for watering I should imagine your soil is pretty dry by now, if the pot is feeling light then its time to water.
Hey things look much better! The plant looks underwatered though. Which would cause the leaves curling, and also the darker shade of green on the leafing. As far as the light burn on the plant I would not worry about it as it will cause no major harm to the plant at all. I have done it to a few seedlings that grew to fast for me to adjust the lights....lol.....they get over it. Other than that things look ok.* DAY 9* Its begining to look more like a marijuana plant by observing the leaves.
*DAY 10*
HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
The leaves are begining to droop at the points & curl very slightly at the edges, my guess is its due to low humidity or the lack of oxygen delivered to the roots because there is absolutely no perlite, vermiculite or anything else just soil. Im considering adding H2O2 or maybe Ill transplant into a larger pot with the addition of perlite, I hope theres no root rot.
Temp at 26C-31 & humidity at 30-33%.
Any advice on which path I should take or what the problem could be? (see pic)
The stem sometimes leans a little so Ive switched on the fan hopefully itll stiffen up the stem.
Also today I found one of the leaves touching the fluros & its been slightly burned will it be ok is there anything I need to do? (see pic)

As far as a transplant you can do that at any time granted the plant is in REAL good health. And not to say that yours is not, but at this moment any added stress is bad stress....wait until the plant is stronger than repot. Dont give it anything but normal H20 anything else could damage the plant. Lack of CO2 is a rareity and I would not worry about it since they can still photosynthesize with broad leafing and with water (light bieng the primary base of energy, water bieng the second) So a bit of a lack of air to the roots at this point is nothing.
Unless your plant is root bound (which trust me at this point its not) there is no alarming reason for you to repot right now.
Thanks, I wish it was more flexible in terms of adding equipment.nice setup >_<
True.....but it takes time for that to happen and usually is not a problem for plants as young as yours. But they should be able to be repoted soon. Speaking of which when do we get an update of the lil baby? Thanks for your input.
Ive read that lack of perlite or other good drainage & aeration medium can cause root rot which cause the leaf to slightly wilt & curl which is sometimes mistaken as thirsty & so over watering can very easily cause problems. This caused me to worry but Ill see what happens.
Thanks again.
Yeah about the little one it didnt do well, there was no sprout at all, Im giving it until tomorrow then Im binning it. Strange how every single seed didnt sprout except the very last out of 10.True.....but it takes time for that to happen and usually is not a problem for plants as young as yours. Unfortunetely they dont sell those brands where I liveLooking good there man.
As for when you do repot I sujest getting a good pre mix "Potting Soil". Fox Farms or Earth Grow are good brands. They are mixed with the right amount Aeration and Moisture Retention materials for one life cycle.
Yup youll know for sure then.Yeah about the little one it didnt do well, there was no sprout at all, Im giving it until tomorrow then Im binning it. Strange how every single seed didnt sprout except the very last out of 10.
