yea i was gonna do 6 seemed like a good number to me too lol, im gonna go with feminized seeds of course no use wasting a pot and grow space on a male. Whats your average height and yield per plant. And if you know Indica, Sativa, or Hybrid. I was looking to do a strain like big bud or a high yielding indica. Thanks for the input Tommy! +rep

And I also have another question/ statement. I started with a 2 gallon grow pot, and then transplanted to a homemade five gallon grow bucket. Is it really true that anything below a five gallon bucket will stunt plant growth, and most likely get rootbound during the flowering stage? I transplanted due to droopy leaves, and slow growth. What I thought to be root-bound, turns out it could have been my inexperience with good watering technique over watering and possibly drowning the roots? I did let the soil dry on top and crack however from the start, so im really thinking it was the small pot, but i have seen huge 6 ft tall plants in the exact pot that my 1 ft baby girl looked root bound in. So what I'm really asking here is 5 gal minimum or can i get away with a 3 gallon pot.? Thanks again to anyone who has input.

I usually veg to 18-24" before flowering. I have grown in 3 gal pots with soil and it was fine. I currently am growing hempy style using 3 pound plastic coffee containers. I usually yield 1.5-2 ounces per plant.

Hmm then I am going to have to say that it was poor watering technique and inexperience but hey, i did a successful transplant of a 12 inch plant. So I learned something anyway. You get two foot plants out of a 3 pound cofee container without stunting or root bound? Im impressed.

It is the hempy method. There are several good threads about how to do it. I started with Hempy about 1.5 years ago and I love it. It is sometimes called the poor man's hydro. Less pests than soil but you have to watch the PH and figure your nutrients out. It is growing with a perlite soil less mixture. I use 80/20 mix of perlite/vermiculite. Once dialed in it is very easy.

Thanks man ill have to look that up, i think im far to inexperienced at this point but sometime in the future im gonna have to try that

So shes really packing on the pistils now, will upload more pics tonight or tomorrow she is sleeping right now =]
