My First bubble hash run

So I’ve watched a lot of videos and today I ran bags of last years harvest that I wasn’t smoking anymore. It was around 1.5lbs of 1yr old bud. It was super dry. I won’t be smoking much from this it will be pressed into rosin and baked into gummy bears.

I’m pretty happy with the outcome, I did tare my 220 bag so my 120 was contaminated but I’m pressing it all so meh. Plus I Will be investing in a vinyl sided set before I process this seasons.



my setup is a 20gal bin wrapped in Mylar hot water blanket. With a spigot at the bottom to drain into another 20gal bin with the other bags in it. There is also another bin that I use between the 220 bag and my mixer, acts like a sleeve to protect the filter. I need to add a second spigot to the 20gal bin the other bags sit it.

Do people use the water again after the filters for a second wash or can it just run off?

I reused the water. Already nice and cold.

Oh hell yeah brother.solventless is the way my friend.it does take some time get down what works best for you.

always use clean water for all washes..you don't need anything from the water that was washed.

Just got a Bubble Magic 5 gal washer and heavy duty bags here. Waiting for some more plants to finish and below freezing temps. Thank you for the encouragement.

Did you rehydrate the dry buds or just submerge.

I will also be adding 2 cups of dry ice to my wash. Just quality popcorn trash for the first run. Trying a hunch or two. Nice silly putty. I want some eggs.

I didn’t soak the buds but they were so dry they crumbled when mixed

If they crumbled I would "assume a good freeze would be good. Just learning myself. Love my dry sift screen pressed hash from kief. Just too much labor. Did you get to torch any? Curious if it stills keeps the floral notes.

It’s was old weed from last years harvest, i should have frozen it

I will make another post/thread when I run this years trim and popcorn, I dont have a freezer big Enough to store my trim...

Fortunate to have combined 2 houses in my last move. Doubles of a few things. Serious smal deep freezer in my garage making as a table for too long. I'll document my adventure. Thank you again.

Oh boy. I have 4 gals froze and a bunch more on live sticks. 1 plant hanging to test dry to fresh frozen. TY.
