My First Bubbleponic grow

Sweet! Did you feel comfortable doing the topping? I think I accidentally pulled on one several weeks ago and unknowingly topped it. Does it start to grow out 4 directions from 1 area? Is there any detailed photo instructions?
 
Topping usually involves cutting it off just above a set of branches. The new growth comes from where the branches meet the stem.
 
okay so iv been gone for a week in mexico with the fam and just got back the plants r looking good under my roommates care...thank god lol....pics tomm glad 2 b back need last week and harvesting info....well last 2-3 weeks/harvesting info
 
okay so here are the new pics....the first 4 pictures were taken on the day i left for mexico...which was 2 weeks ago..and the rest of the pics were taken last night. tell me what u think...how much longer do yall think i should flower? i think were at bout end of week 3

They are looking great. It's hard to estimate when you will harvest because there are a lot of factors that play into it. 8-9 weeks is average but you should jusdge by the color of the trichomes. When most turn cloudy and a few are amber is the ideal time.
 
i lost my camera..i dont know if i let someone borrow it or what,think mom lost it..Im gonna get a DAMN good one this time.No less than 600.00..Thats my limit on a camera.
Anyone that knows about camers...GO to www.pcmall.com and see what the best camera on the site for the price i stated..Please i know nothing really about camers!

so we are starting week 8 today sorry iv not been around much lately. been busy but heres some new pics and im wondering when to start flushing when i should be done and im wondering when everyone says trichomes u mean the crystals right? not the hairs or am i confused but i dn how i can see wat color the crystals are. need alil input here guys

okay so i checked them again with the magnifying glass the best i can tell they are still clear....where is the best place to look....seems like its easiest on the leaves...but should i be looking more right at the buds? the leaves? or all over. its hard to tell. i sat there and stared at them all for like 10 mins and im still unsure...seems like after 2 months that we should almost be done but im not sure what do yall think? are there some strains that u flower way over weeks or what?
 
They are really coming along nicely man! The trichomes are the crystals, not the hairs. You can get a good look at them with a 20x microscope, magnifying glass, or jewler's loupe. Here is a link to what I use: 20 Microscope Magnifier. I only use the microscope magnifier, but for 6 bucks you get the two jeweler's loupes also. However, the 30x jeweler's loupe is not much better than the 10x. Here is another link that you should check out: SE Mini Pocket Microscope 60x -100x. RadioShack also has one that is a little more expensive. The pocket microscopes work great, but it's hard to adjust while looking at the plant, so you have to cut off a small piece and look at it while sitting at a desk or something. I honestly don't know exactly how much time you have left, but it looks to me like they have about 2 weeks. Maybe more, maybe less. The trichomes will turn cloudy, then amber. You want to harvest when most are cloudy and a few are amber. You should start flushing 4-10 days before harvest, so when you think there is about 1 week left, start the flush.
 
I bought one of those micros from Radio Shack, there cool but damn are they hard to focus!! Like Lt. said take a piece off of the plant to look at the trichs. Don't think too much that after 2 months your done, I've heard of plants taking 4 months of flowering so check out the trichs and decide what type of high your looking for. You'l have to check with LT. or Roseman but there is a big difference in the high based on the percentage of clear cloudy and amber trichs on the type of high you'l get more clear not so good, more amber couch lock etc...Roseman has a great pic of this in one of his posts...
