My first bubbleponics/hydroponics grow, In a 38L rubbermaid tub

Well, I'm going to try Bubbleponics, or hydroponics.
Ive been verry successful outdoors, but not so much indoors. I'm hoping this works out better for me.

I'm planning on getting some Feminized Aurora Indica seeds from Nirvana. (I was going to get Full Moon, but I need something short.) so I think I'll go for the Aurora Indica. it sounds pretty potent

My closet is 3'wide, 7'long, and only 5' high
I Have:
38L Rubbermaid tub
Air pump/hose
Air stone
PH tester
Thermometer/Hydrometer
IMAG0781.jpg
Holland Secret Nutrients (Made locally)
Holland secret Prop-O-Gator
IMAG0783.jpgView attachment 2019270
Peat pellets (couldn't find any rockwool)
3.5inch square pots (couldn't get netpots, i'm going to cut vertical slits into the bottom 3rd of each pot)
200w Sunblaster CFL (14000 lumens)
IMAG0800.jpgIMAG0799.jpg
3 Fans
And and unknown Light with all wires/transformer but no hood. (I think its 1000W)

I plan on having 5 plants in the Tub, with a couple air-stones.
I plan on getting a submersible pump to pump water right onto the roots, but I need to order it on ebay so I wont have it for a couple weeks, I also need Hydrotron... but I can only get huge bags ones locally, I only need a little.

I'll post up some pics when I get everything set up. (right now my power outlet has a short so I need to get that fixed first) After that I'm going to clean out my closet and set everything up.

In the mean time i'm going to try to get everything else I need.
Has anyone tried a setup like this? and how did it turn out?

There's no way you're gonna get 5 plants to survive in that one tote man...That tote will be awesome for early on until like the middle of veg and then your plants will start shading each other out and their root systems will strangle each other. My first grow I used a Bubbleponics tote with 4 girls and I ended up splitting them up before flowering. That tote can handle 2 plants MAX all the way through and that's just because I've actually done it ;)

I've got a setup very similiar. I'm curious to see how this ends up. I have 5 plants going in a 38L but shorter water basin. The plants are not sexed yet so I'm expected 2-3 females in the tote once flowering.

Once I get all other aspects of my hydro dialed in... I plan use totes like this for one plant. I think the other guys are right that its going to be cramped for 4 ladies in one tote. How are you going to do water changes? It'll be fun lifting four fat ladies up late in harvest. I don't think you necessarily need to pump water on to the roots. Lots of bubble bucket guys just let the roots grow into the bubbled water. You could just hand water several times a day until the roots hit the water.

Over all looks like you know what you are doing. I am sure even with all the naysayers you will be able to get a nice yield.

Sukow: You might want to listen to Mineralz. 38L, by my public school math, is approximately 10 gallons, right? I've been growing with two ten gallon Sterlite tubs as a knock off I made from Stealth Hydro's unit after I saw their video. I started six plants, the legal limit in my state, and they quickly out grew that and into to a second tub. Three plants in the two tubs was a lot more crowded than I had anticipated. Have some extra tubs and lids so that you can drop down to two per tub and I think you'll be happy. Just make sure you keep two healthy air stones in each tub. I hope this helps. HSA

I don't think you need more than three gallons of water per plant, but the problem comes in them crowding each other for light. Even the roots tangling is no problem because they aren't competing if you have enough water and nutes. There are very many advantages to having one plant in one res. You can move them around (incl up and down), you can feed them differently, etc. I think the 5 gal bucket with 3 gal of water, good bubbles and a good top is the shit, and I doubt I'll ever go back to totes.

Real bubbleponics means you rely on the high level of bubble action to feed your seedlings from under until roots are in the water. There is no need for water pumps and feeder tubes. Ironic that people call that bubbleponics.
