Sounds like your on the right track, personally Id stay away from miracle grow but some people can make it work.Ive used fox farm with good results.I started with miracle grow but suffered some burns.once you get growing good keep an eye on the ph.So you dont get any lockout going on.Even in soil its good to check ph once in a while.I would check your water also to keep everything in line.good luck and I'll check back:leaf:hopefully you'll have somelike this!

SO growth has slowed down since 24/0
But i'll just keep in mind that during the dark periods those roots are just filling my pot up
Also i've added a whole hlaf inch of perlite to the top, for many reasons, aeration and reflection.

I can't tell how far you are keeping that light from your seedling. Be careful! This is your last surviving seedling, yes? It appeared from the beginning of the thread that you may have burnt the delicate leaves. Trust me, you really don't need that much to make that seedling thrive. In fact, a 26 watt alone would suffice. In the past 5 weeks, I've grown a clone and cloned from IT a couple of times with my initial clone being 12" tall---only one 26 watt bulb. (I'm hoping to make this one my bonzai.)
You asked about nutrients. You really can use the MG stuff. I say it works for some and not others simply because they don't use it properly. It is very easy to burn your plants if not careful.
I'm new to cfl's too. They do surprisingly work and as Roseman said, the more, the merrier.
I started off with the Schultz, 10-15-10 and MG Blooming---15-30-15 and then proceeded with some organics. Finding a hydro shop around here wasn't easy. In short, yes..you can efficiently use MG products. I just finished 3 plants with them. I found a seedling that I had pretty much neglected sitting in the corner. It had been taking off without my even noticing. The other 3 were being fed with predominately organics half-way into the grow, while this one was only being given the Scultz. It's looking frostier than the others...go figure.
The 2 added 26 watt bulbs are fine. Just don't keep them too close to the seedlings. They are pretty fragile at this point.

Although i've had the bulb within inches of the plant no burns have occured, i have moved my lights up to stretch my plants main stalk a little and now that is in veg i have those light above setting about 4 inches from my lil girl
Shes thriving hardcore tho, loving every bit of that light ^_^

She's looking good man. Have you thought at all about reflecting some of that light back down. You are obviously thinking reflection with that pearlite though I don't know how effective that will really be. Still a good idea nonetheless. What doesn't hurt has gotta help right. Even a simple piece of cardboard with some mylar like I rigged up will help you get some reflection going. Getting a real reflector would obviously be preferable though.
