It's just impressive that you didn't put much into the soil, and you're working with a limited selection of bottled nutes!
I would say look into
organics lad.
It's as simple as it get.
You can find a descent ready-made potting soil to begin with,(I chose Fox Farm Ocean Forest but have read a lot of awesome things about Fox Farm Happy Frog, and Roots Organic as well),
or you can start from scatch and build a soil from ground up and have total control.
I just added a little extra plant food in the form of organic fertilizer to what's already in the bag of FFOF, let it sit for a month to cycle/"cook" and it's been ALL GREEN
With organics you actually feed your plant indirectly because you feed the soil(adding life/microbes to it),
which in turn break the nutrients in the soil down to a form that the plants can use. With that said, it's ALMOST impossible to burn your plant with organics.
Your soil PH takes care of itself as over time. No buying bottle nutes either(
adding chemicals kills of life in your soil, throwing the PH outta wack/locking out nutes if you over do it as you feed them a form of directly available nutes).
Organic amendments are cheaper than fertilizer by the bottle and do the same thing in natures way.
You make your own nutes essentially(AACT's-active aerated compost teas) by adding what organic ferts you have to some water and bubbling them a day or two depending on how much you make.
I've been learning
A LOT about the gardening organically for the past 6 months, and it's just simple man.
It's too easy to be true being able to only water and not really maintain a feeding schedule. Just takes a little understand like everything else.
With all that said, I don't know a lot about bottle feeding as I haven't went this route. I just know that if you do it right, it works well despite the chemical use because
the nutes are immediately available to the grass.
Just my 2cents tho Pics goin gup later! Just woke up to turn the lights on and figured I'd get back to you.
