Hey guys, this is my fist time posting here at RollitUp so bare with me.. Its also my first attempt at a DWC stealth closet grow so i will have lots of questions to come ( +rep for help).
I have already planted my 10 seeds (Nirvana reg. indoor mix, (i also have Nirvana Blackberry that i will sprout if i don't get 8 seedilings out of the other)) in rapid rooters and have not built my grow room yet. I plan on building it this weekend seeing as how 3 of the plants have already strated sprouting .
So that is where we are going to start, the grow room:
I have a walk in closet with a shelf for storage in the back. i will b dropping a false wall from the shelf and my grow room will b behind the wall, underneath the shelf.. still with me? The total dimensions are approximately 5'(w) x 5'(h) x 2'(d). i am going to use 3.5' of that width for the flowering room and the other 1.5' for the veg room.
In the veg room: i plan on using cfls with a passive intake and passive exhaust to the flowering room and one 8 plant 10 gallon DWC tote seen here (( http://www.hydro2gro.com/8-plant-hydroponic-system.html )).
Questions: How many true cfl watts will i need for a 15 cubic foot area? Can i veg 8 plants in that tote without the roots getting too tangled? i heard if u pull the net pots out of the bucket every 3-4 days it will keep them separate, is this true?
In the flowering room: i plan on using an uncooled 600 watt hps with reflector. Directly above that i will cut a hole in the shelf for an inline duct fan exhaust. I will have two of the 8 plant 10 gallon DWC totes in here where i will transfer the 8 vegged plants to 4 and 4 for sexing. i hope to end up with 2-3 plants in each tote, a total of 4-6 plants finished.
Questions: Is 600 watts too much for a 35 cubic foot area? How big of an exhaust (inches & cfms) will need for it? Is 3 plants in each tote too many?
