roseman did u see that really close up pic of the roots. notice those white specks u know what that is? I thought perhaps perlite that flew from my soil... but I dont know... any idea?

I was ten times worst, on my first grow.

I really have no clue what day it is.. I say I been quite poor at keeping track of it, but left bread crumbs behind to figure it out, sort of speak. lol...

Anyways these pics show any signs of preflower? Just curious.

I did some re modeling in the grow op again, added insulation to exhaust and taped it up real good to ensure no leaks. I think this has helped with temps outside grow area.

After wondering why my grow area doesnt smell, i realized my air purifer has a air ionizer... I turned it off to see if indeed it has helped with smell, or if it is just early in the stages.. I have to say it is the machine as I grew big bud before and never had a chance to flower and those plants smelled!

So far doing good, I think I got all females... not going to say yay now... but if these are preflowers then yes perhaps.... you be the judge.

I don't see any pre-flowers yet in those pics.

Its really hard to see them, I dont know if camera sucks or I just dont know how to use them, those pics really dont show them as the two like pistils on the sides are not it but the blurry kind doesnt show though might just be my imagination... lol....I keep looking for better pics and give it more time...

Does chlromine or something like that similar to chlorine.. howver my city puts it in my water is that toxic for my plants? just curious..

you can't get chloramine out of your water...if it's in there, its in there.

best you can do is let it sit out for a day or so...or buy some water.

from what i know, it won't affect your plants too much.



edit: forgot to say that i don't see any preflowers

safe to say there are no flowers... i was mistaken... so i need a flower chamber... guess i will make one using a cardboard box...I have one that is really bushy othrs kinda strecthy... perhaps I should try taking clones and flower them to see what is a male and femals? that way if indeed i have males I can throw them away... perhaps safe some and try to cross with auto ak just for some seeds...

Hey I got a short rider in dirt about a month old and its just exploded growth. It was only in the last few days its showed its pre flowers but now they are everywhere and its still on a 18-6 schedule.

I really thought in that 2nd pic there was a pistil there on the right. But no more pistils showin up?

I have heard this strain has been known to not auto flower at times.
Edit: Well, actually by at times I guess from what I have read its almost more rare for this strain to actually pre flower O.O Lots of people say they had trouble with it.

Plants have taking some nice growth and perhaps could use some good training. I have not done any pruning at all to these plants...will provide pics... unfortunately these bad boys are not going to autoflower.. as my auto ak has already done so and these have had more then enough time. So it is time to take them into a spot so they can flower. I am hoping I get at least 2 females. Thinking I should take clones of these as well.

Ok i retract what I say, I see at least 1 plant in flowering mode! YAY... and it isnt the small bushy one its the tall and slight bushy one.. I clearly see white pistils.. one is curled, I changed the water and its only on plain ph water no nutes. I will be adding the nutes according to fox farms nute schedule i believe this is week 5 or 6...

Anyone recommend a supplemental additive like molasses, purple maxx, or gravity? Just curious, I wouldnt mind going with fox farms line of cha ching beaztie buds, and open sesasme...

Yea I am going to hook up my carbon filter sometime and use the ona gel buckets too.

a very slight amount (1/6) of VEG nutes added to the BLOOM nutes in Flowering

Ok why not molasses? or is that preference? As i am going to apply additives both to my soil and dwc...

I will look up liquid karma, keep in mind I am using fox farms line, they only thing they have extra is the beatzie budz some other 2... I heard of purple maxx and snow storm.

I really would like to provide pics, and I am concerned about the flowering issue as well.. I may go ahead and throw in flower cycle.. because only one seems to show the flowering signs..

Roseman, i value your opinion, do you thinnk this tent be perfect for flowering? I plan on possibly starting off with cfls then adding 600 w cool tube.

Its a decent price range, and it help me get my current short rider in the dwc a head start in flowering since they are not doing to automatically except one..

Still debating if i should wait...perhaps takes some clones ( still need to learn how to succesfully do so)

I looked up liquid karma and it seems pretty promising.. of course doesnt all that marketing hype seem promising?

Its better for me to ask questions and ask them towards a REPUTABLE RIU member..

Now any suggestions as for as application?? or jjust follow the instructions? It seems crazy how when your grow is going calm you always want to add something to make it better (supplements, lighting, co2) but I can not expose my plants to trial and error and then losing them. This is my first grow where i have made it to flower cycle.. So everything from flowering to curing is all new to me.. although I have done plenty of reading... and still plan on doing more reading..

my plants are huge... so much for autos... lol.. They flowered but seem to be stuck... not progressing as much my other autos like my AUTO AK47 and RED DWARF.

Well I had to throw them in my bathroom with small fluros on one side. Kinda horrible the way I did the plants.. Livin it up growing it up and then to little light.. But i need to know if i have any males and I plan on getting a tent soon and possible lights on other side till i get the tent. Probably be a month and a half before I can get the tent. Dam... When I moved the plants to the bathroom a clone-like perfect cutting fell off so I experimented with it and threw clones on end of stem after cuting it and threw in a rapid rooter.

I decided to take roseman's advice and go with Liquid Karma. I added less then what was instructed. I also using the fox farms line with out the soluables. I also added hygrozyme into the DWC. I do not know if that has anythign to do with these roots looking like this but.. I have been doing good with water levels and everything. I did mess up and not check the ph for 2 days.. ph ended up coming out to 7.5 eeek.. I dropped it down slight to 6.5 i didnt want to shock it to much..

So i was at wally world when all of a sudden I see a 9 inch fan!!! WOW i never expected christmas to come early! Cheap too, anyways it was in a random spot and it was totally out of season, it was like a calling for me to... as it stuck out! lol anyways, here some pics of my rig. Or as others referred to it as "Roseman's Bucket" which he has a DIY for.

I used soil moist along with my ona gel to help prolong the smell. It seems to help and expands quite a bit. I actually keep mine on 24/7 I was afraid it interfer with taste with my buds, but being that i have plastic separating, and you can not smell the ona as much within the grow lights... I did not have enough money for a timer so i just left it there... seems to be doing great for the strains that caution EXTREME ODOR... I think ona is working well and for fall back I always have my carbon filter to use... Still havent used that sucker yet.

mollasses is for soil grows, NOT hydro, for sure.

I like Liquid Karma and Cal-mag during VEGGING, and nothing extra during flowering.
