you should have been high. that woulda been my story.
anyways, when you switch to flower dont use anything BUT 12/12.

24/7 and 18/6 are for veg/growth.
12/12 is only for flower/bud

also, if any light gets into plants during 12 hour period of dark you risk plants being hermie. possibly male.

best bet for females is to be completely dark.

oh and props to all those i steal my info from by actually reading this site and its threads.

there is info here that tell how to "sex" the plant.

real quick,
flower for week or two and keep close watch.

males will have balls and 2 hairs i think. females will have a lot of fine hairs.

there are pictures and don't quote me on that shit yet, for i have only briefly done MY homework on the subject matter.

i just float around this sight looking for and reading things that seem interesting or that may pertain to me then and now or in the near future.

i actually had a small grow in my basement. real shitty setup. out in open with a couple of shop lights. i had major stretching but through topping i was able to keep them1.5-2 feet high. i used bottom half jugs of laundry detergent that i rinsed real well and some regular miracle grow potting soil.

it worked but would have been a hell of a lot better had i read here first.

at this point with what i have growing, it is 100% improvement in quality and growth performance compared to the first shot.

the first shot was to prove to myself that "micro plants" could be achieved

I think these past couple of days have been the best with all the growth. Thanks a lot for all the advice (the paper worked wonders I believe). Here's a couple pics from today when compared with yesterdays the leaves are twice as big.

although i would recess that tall one.

have you hung your light separately from the AG yet?

i just did mine and now have it about an inch away from my tallest.

i am about to res change. i setting up water now.

i using my well water this time. i ph'd it at about 7

i ppm'd it at about 75.

i using 10-15-10 nutes and added half strength to 2 -1 gallon jugs.

ppm after nutes was 250ish. ph was still round 7.

added 1.5ml of 50% h2o2 to each gallon. ppm 250ish. ph still round 7.

added 3 ml of GH ph down and got around a 4 on the next test.

added 1 ml of GH ph up and now hanging round 5. about to check it again in minute.

still round 5 i going to clean AG and change res. i'll post some more updated pics of the roots and growth.

took these while changing the res. hoping for no ill effect.

my biggest has four nodes. the next has 3.
got six running strong now and looks like the seventh is starting to stretch its root.

some pics of the roots as well. nice and white.

felt alittle slime in the res and on the air tubes but not much. h2o2 should help and i plan on trying that hygrozyme too.

atleast its better than watching paint dry or rocks grow.

As for water I'm using tap that has been purified through a filter my light is still at the same height and I haven't added any yet. On the deluxe there are 3 lights it comes with.

you will atleast grow a small krop. ive seen it before.

Think I planted just about the same day as you. Yours looks much mo betta than mine. Im jealous Think I might need to do the recess deal and hang the white paper. Also gonna try to put my airstone in the back. Got the hose running through the front flap right now. Skerred I might be getting a little light on the roots. Thanks for all the good info and discussion on this topic. I just looking to get enough for medicinal purposes...and especially where I dont have to buy none. That would be nice. Speaking peppas here of course.

I haven't put any air pump in my garden yet I probably won't till I flower

I have seen aerogardens at some stores. they are way too small for a single plant... let alone all of those.

Well you should check out some of the AeroGarden users pics of their full grown plants in their gardens.

I started mine in the Aerogarden about 3 weeks ago and I have a couple of plants that are 7-8 inches tall. I know I won't get a huge yield or anything, it's more of an experiment than anything, but so far I'm really pleased. I too am in a small place, but I have a friend who is building a larger hydro set up. Anyone know if I'll be able to transplant them or should I even try to?

first off this whole recessing thing sounds pointless and completely without benefit for the problem (stretching). Stretching occurs b/c of too little light/ light too far from the plant. This recessing sounds unneccessary and quiet harmful to the little girls (well, hopefully girls).

I just harvested 10 days ago from my AG. I first just want to say that an aerogarden will produce well for a experiment/ getting you some personal smoke that will definetly last until the next grow if your not a HUGE smoker. Mine started from clones and spent about 2-3 weeks in veg.I let them almost reach the lights on each setting before moving it up, and put it into 12/12 right after I raised the lights the first time. They spent 4 weeks of flower taking over the little system (unless you have 1 or 2 plants do not prune/clip at all) and I bought General Hydroponics Micro/Grow/Bloom to use instead of aeronutes (which i also started with). I only changed the tank twice. First switch about a week after starting flower and second when too flush before final harvest. Meanwhile adding slightly watered down nutes (as not to overload).
So I had 6 girls in mine and after the first 4 weeks of flower the AG light was maxed out (sitting on the holder above the highest setting) with the plants growing up into the lights. I borrowed a 400W HPS from my bud and ditched the AG light. Seriously, the buds doubled within a week. (CFLs will never do what even a smaller HPS will!!) I let them have a full 5 weeks under the HPS and they loved every minute. Just finally weighed the harvest and it came to a bit over 2 ounces. And the smoke??? SUPERB!!
I got a buddy thats very involved in growing and he was pissed that my first grow on an AG with the same strain he uses in a rock wool ebb/flow under 600W was better! He made me trade him some for personal!

Hmm anything else I could add....
Oh I used Superthrive and some kind of Organic Carbo Synthesizer ( i forget the brand) and didn't have a airstone in my tank. After the grow I realized my roots had definetly taken over the pump and it was a bitch to clean! I don't see any good way around that though. oh, haha, and one plant in the system easily had a 1/3 of the total weight and during final flush, for the most part it was supported by the other 5 plants. All but one plant produced well. the 6th tiny guy just got overtaken and crowded out. However, it gave about an 1/8 and has the best looking hairs of any of the others.
