on the begining of this page theres a thread called how to grow. Pic and all that should be helpful. Start by getting a damp paper towel put the seeds in the middle put that in a plastic bag don't seal completly and put in a some what warm place for 5 days or so. Seed starters work well too if your looking to spend money. The sprouts tend to grow quicker in them for a short time.

i would gather all the equipment first, thats where i as well as many others have gone wrong. I made the mistake by germing them before i had everything. wait till you get it all setup, and then just grow it regularly without and advanced techniques, get the main concept down, then start tinkering.

As some more newb mistakes:
1) dont water everyday, let the soil get dry....plants like dry times as well because the roots need oxygen to breathe.
2) 1 seed per cup, dont want the roots tangled.
3) NO NUTRIENTS UNTIL THEY ARE READY, people seem to think it will make their plants grow faster, which is partly true, but it has to be AT THE RIGHT TIME, otherwise you will do more harm than good.
4) When it is ready for nutes, start off SMALL, you can always go up, but once you burnt them with too much, it takes a while for them to recover.
5) Once again, get everything ready and test the temps with a test run before you get everything started.

Now read read read :). Take care, hope this helps a tiny bit.

If they look like curled flouros then yes. Now we need to find out what the light spectrum is. If it is a blue color bulb 6500K then that would be good for the veging stage. If it more of a yellowish red color 3000K then that is what you want to use for flowering. Do you know what you want to do for the on/ off time with the growth.
