My First Good Grow Male Or Female hoping its fem

i topped it off at 8" so it can bush it will grow vertical again from what i read and i also read that u can top 2 times also i cut off the bottom fan leaves cuz they were small and not getting light i need to get higher wattage cfl's but money is tight at the moment so i have to work with what i got my cuz had good grows from lower wattage but being here they say u need atlest 100w cfl per plant right now im running 36w cfl 1 13w and 1 23w and whats good as far as food for nutes i used to use MG all purpose plant food this is my 1st cfl that is going good so i want this to go good hope it does turn female cuz she is stanking my closet up and my closet is about 2 1/2ft x 2 1/2ft x 6ft 10in please help for the small space i just rigged a computer fan in there for circulation also in the early stages the closet felt warmer then my room when i checked on them but it is smelling my closet up just hope it goes female when its time im almost 6 weeks in when would be the best time to put it into flowering i know i just topped it and it needs to recover thats why i ask

Let it grow a little longer and then re post pictures.
so the day after i topped i woke up next morning and my CFL'S dropped and burned 2 fan leafs i just took a pair of clean snips and cut off the burnt part of the fan leafs i now have 6 new grow sites 4 of witch are growing upward near the top im guessing its going to be the 4 new colas but after topping i did a transplant a lil bit after and the topping was sposed to make horizontal growth but the only part of the plant bushing up is the top part lower down the stem by the 1st and 2nd node from the soil is real lanky new growth coming from the 2 node though but not growing quick i also made a grow box to put it in it has been in there for almost 3 days why is only the top bushing out the other 3 4 nodes are bushing out a bit compared to the 1st pics i put up please help
one other thing i dont want a big big plant rather have a shorter bushy plant but still get good yeild so i was wondering what u guys think this sat will mark 7 weeks veg when should i swap to 12/12 flowering stage i am running 18/6 the first 3 weeks of veg was 24/0 then went to 20/4 for a week now been running 18/6 for almost 2 weeks
if you have 2 of the same strain. and one grows taller then the other in the same amount of time most likely its male. and males grow lankyer then females. and note if light intensity is the same for both plants you can def go with the taller shorter jugement. thats just what i think dont go cutting things down tho just wait to you switch to 12/12 to see what your working with.

while this is sometimes true not always, some seeds grow faster then others whether same strain or not, they all have their different DNA like humans.. (phenotypes)
u wait till u see BALLS or WHITE pistils.. they are VERY obvious when u see them, u will not have to ask questions.. they will not pollinate until u see the pod opens up. which it will have like 5-10 balls on each node (fully matured) before it will pollinate
