Yeah i was advised not to add any fertilizers to the mix as it would most likely burn the plants, but yeah i do need to do some more research on organic gardening since its the one area that i am not well versed in. As far as the plants go though I'm not to concerned with the problems they are exhibiting, they are still reasonably healthy looking after all, i just transplanted them into some 4.5 gallon air pots, super cropped them and turned on my hps i would have started flowering today but i just found out my timer is broken.

I'd have the light higher for the first couple days to let them get used to the intensity difference. Having nute problems will effect your final yield but not so much on the quality. Just figured to let u know so u don't get detered from continuing after this show. They are gonna love that light tho!! I wouldn't worry to much on most of the micros except cal/mag are very important in all plants and cannabis love it more than most. Subb'd :)

Yeah i just brought the light up a bit, the coverage wasn't that great with the light so close anyways, the plants are already loving the light though less than 4 hours after i super cropped them 90% of the branches were already picking their ends back up to get a better view of the light, one thing that sucks though is i think that probably the brightest area under the light is being occupied by 3 inch's of wood running threw the middle i did not design the crates for this set up so yeah i might have to redo them when i finish this off. As far as the nutrients go the soil i was using was from a rubber made tub that was used on 2 separate grows that only made it threw veg, the grows that failed due to life changing circumstances were relatively short so i i figured they would still be full of nutrients but i am starting to wonder if maybe that is where the deficiency came from, so when i transplanted this time i used soil from the same batch but that has never been used so i guess if things permanently fix after this i will know if that was the problem.

U will see explosive growth, they will love that 400. Cfls have their use and are very good but more for a micro app. Your placement of 4 per plant works well tho. Once they get to a certain size they require more, a lot more :) In the center part could you take the wood out from both pieces and use a metal rod or some straightened out metal coat hanger and still have support!? I would think if kept tight eno and have the wire hook into the wood ends from above there would b more than eno support. I tried once reusing a mix of 50/50 used soil n new soil and noticed problems, from that point on I never reuse soil and the left-over soil from a grow go's right into the garden outside :) I know there r ways to clean the soil but that would require some research into what works and what doesn't. All looks good tho, Time to watch them grow. Oh n get a good timer, that is an item to not cheap out on, just say'n!! Peace :)

Plants look good man. No worries about the crates, yea it's wasted space but they'll grow around them and fill it nicely. Keep up the good work man, should be a fat little cab soon =)

Yeah i might have to try that wire hanger idea out i dunno though i designed them to be separate so i could pull plants out and perform maintenance to them if i needed to and if i connected them now in the closet i would not be able to get them out, I'm probably gonna redesign my scrog system this next time around so i can get some more space out of them, although mrtokenpuff brings up a good point once they get past the screen they will spread out and occupy the area anyways. As far as the soil goes yeah it was probably pretty stupid of me to reuse the soil, i also retardedly put the decaying plant matter back into the medium after i chopped them to decompose and give me back some of my nutrients so i might have fucked up my PH a bit there. Hopefully though this fresh soil will fix my issues its about half old soil and half fresh soil now, and yeah i got what i believe to be a good timer i got a hydro farm digital dual outlet 15 amp timer.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Thanks for stopping by guys and yeah I'm interested to see how this turns out as well, i want to see if all of my research will pay off with a successful harvest, i sure hope it does but my confidence has dropped off a bit since that last bout with that deficiency, and since I've heard all the negative feed back about my soil... Can i get any opinions on whether or not it looks like it would be a good time to flower, I've never scrogged before so i don't know exactly how full the screen should be before i flip the switch i think i have read 75% i think im at about 60%, what do you guys think should i flip the switch when i get my timer or let it fill out a bit more, this is making me wish i would have gotten an MH bulb.

Alright so i think i have an odor issue, it sucks because i anticipated something like this happening but there really wasn't much i could do to prevent it, for the past few days i have been walking past my utility closet and smelling what i believe to be my veging plants, i am not sure its them but as we all know the smell of growing marijuana plants is quite distinctive so i do think it is them, i have been patrolling the out side of my house to try and get a whiff of the vegging plants but haven't smelled anything so far, either way though this is quite distressing since i am only in the veg stage and about to go to flowering. I have my ventilation set up running up into the attic access hole in the closet, it is sealed with some weather striping and some particall board the centrifugal fan is also mounted right in the middle of the access hole behind the wood panel and it is to big for me to get around so i cant just go up there to get a whiff, not only that but all of this is located directly above my grow. So it is quite difficult for me to determine whether or not my carbon filter is working effectively, pretty much my only option is to get a ladder and put it up on the side of a steep bank and climb 25 feet up to one of the attic vents and take a whiff, all the while being watched by my nosy ass fucking old neighbor lady. Luckily though every bit of my ventilation system a side from the centrifugal fan is accessible from the other grow cab side, my carbon filter is 2 years old and has not been used accept for the last 1 month or so as far as i know it has always been stored in decent conditions normal humidity etc etc do you think its age could be the problem?

Dude, don't beat yourself up over the soil or anything. Learn from it, that is what life and living is all about. U will put on an epic grow and will feel great about it :) Peace!!

Eh I'm not beating my self up lol, im just saying im not as confident now because a lot of people who seem to know what they are talking about are telling me I'm going to have problems because of the soil lol.

people told columbus the earth was flat too....
Yeah i didn't think they were correct however it has been about 2 weeks since i started trying to fix this with Epsom salts and while some of the symptoms have gotten better, it looks like the yellowing is coming back against the blue cheese in full force, and the white Russian has something going on.

Man this shit is making me nauseous, I'm trying to quit smoking and this stress isn't helping.

Alright so i just went in and snapped a few photos, the blue cheese is drooping quite a bit, it looks like it might have a bit of nutrient burn because some of the leaf tips are burned and the yellowing is still continuing on the leaf edges it seems to be getting some what worse, here are some pics.

check your runoff water. sounds like your having some of your nutrients blocked out due to pH concentration.... snap and post some pics of the affected areas.
