My first grow CFL in closet

So I've been a lurking here for awhile and decided to start my first grow. I've got the grow space all set up and started the seeds germing. I had them set up under the paper towel method for the past 3 days and nothing seemed to happen so I thought I would try cup-o-water way and see if I could get any results in the next few days. If not I suppose I'll try again.

I got the space set up so I can adjust the sides if I need to. The lights are basically a power strip with a few adapters. There's 6 23w CFLS and have the other 2 on the sides. I found them pretty cheap at Lowes, 10 bucks for a 4 pk. Also I used the super 77 to stick the mylar to the thin PVC thats acting as a reflector It's hung up by a rope so I can raise and lower it as needed.

I'll probably keep it a true CFL grow for now until I get a few grows under my belt. I'm not expecting a high yield, I only hope I can get maybe one or two ladies and get through it without fucking up too much.

If not remember that you should turn to flowering (12/12) in first two weeks (if the plants have enough grown) because the light can't evenly penetrate the foliage & the plant... Otherwise the plants will grow with small & fluffy buds...

I haven't read that actually. I thought about the lights not being able to penetrate through bottom leaves so that's why I'd have a few lights for the side branches. Maybe that would be good enough.

I went to check out my seeds that have been soaking a full 24 hours today and none of them have cracked yet. I'll give it another day or so but has anyone else ever had problems getting their seeds to germ?

Ive had a few seeds that wouldnt crack. the best method ive used to germinate is putting them in the paper towel on the plate in a plastic/ziplock bag and put it on top of something like the fridge or what i used was the back of my other computer monitor its dark and very warm makes them crack FAST!Also if ur planing on going 100% Cfl id go get that book Budsforless its a Fantastic book i have it personally and love it, although im using Hps/Cfl setup now! u can check out the link in my signature and peep it out!haha anyways hope that helps ya out a bit!

Just read buds for less and it was pretty helpful. Especially the hippie quotes, lol. But atleast it helps me stay a little patient and know what to expect.
