Hey rollitup community,
This is my first grow ever and i'm growing one small plant out of my stealth box that my friend made. The box is about 30''h x 14''w x 12''L. There are two exhaust fans at the top of the box (80mm ea.) and one passive intake at the bottom. So far its been working out pretty well and the temp has been between 75-79F on a 24hr. photoperiod. I'm using 6500k CFL's for veg and then a combination of 4 2700k and 1 6500k for flowering. This is just an experiment since its my first time and all but i'm hoping to get maybe a 1/2 ounce out of this plant depending on if I grow it right. Anyways...I though it be a good idea to post an up to date journal on the whole process since there are a lot of experienced growers on here that could help me with any problems I encounter along the way. I'll try to be taking pictures every day and posting them on here at night whenever I get the chance. So here it is.......
Strain: NYC Sour Diesel
Origins: Sour Diesel x Afghani x Hawaiian
DAY 1: 1/09/12
After germinating a seed from my un-femenized stash of NYC SD I planted it and here's what sprouted up a day after.
The first picture was taken in the morning and the second was about 4 hours after, had no idea it would grow that fast! I have the seedling in a soil mix of foxfarm ocean forest and perlite (90% FFOF; 10% Perlite), inside a red plastic cup. The cup sits on a porcelain plate with water in it to create a somewhat humid environment for the plant. It evaporates fast and I have to refill the water on the plate every 4-6 hrs or so. This seedling is about 2 inches under one 23 watt 6500k CFL (1600 lumens) and I plan to up the wattage after it establishes a root system. I'm hoping this plant is a female otherwise it'll be a wasted effort...Well, that's it for today.
