My First Grow EVER!!! Need some help please

I went out and bought a Cool Cab from sunlight sheds. i got the light upgrade with the 2 90 watt LED's. I know now that i could have built one for way less money than i spent on the thing. oh well live and learn. My question is that the plants i have only grew to about 8-10 inches tall. i let them grow for about 12 week and then was like the hell with it and started to flower them. Other than the fact that they didn't get as tall as i would like they are healthy and producing buds. Just wish they would have got taller. Does anyone know why this would have happened. Any comments would be appreciated as this is the first time i have ever tried to grow with a hydro setup ever. Thanks

there could be a myriad of problems and I wont even try to diagnose with out some pics. Biggegts options would be small containers, root rot, vitamin def, bugs or anything else. Word of advice if you are in need of help post pics or else you probably wont recieve any. 10" in 12 weeks is really bad man is it an auto flowering strain?

you used led's, get a hps or mh. I have tried led's and found that you get a lot of stretching and the light doesn't produce enough lumens to produce any kind of decent buds, if no one believes me than get a light meter and see for yourself. I gave led's a chance and they completely dissappointed me

Hps are alot better than led's , let them grow for 4 weeks with the hps lights on 18hour , then turn the lights on for 12 hours and let your babys flower

This is why so many LEDs are available on ebay. So many people bought into the hype.

yep i bought one just to see how it worked and they sucked... didn't even work well for clones. The only way you would get any kind of reading with a light meter was to have the meter directly under the light about 5 inches away. My flo's gave off more light than LED's... WASTE OF MONEY

I used the 3 inch net pods that came with the system, i keep a close eye on them and haven't seen any insects, i have been lucky with that, i am not sure what root rot is or how to identify it so any help with that would be great, i keep the nute level at around 1000 through the veg cycle. The strain is unknown, just some good smoke i saved some seeds out of. i will get some good seeds once i have all the kinks worked out. i have heard that LED's aren't that great but its all i have at the moment so i have to make do with them. I added 4, 75 watt tube floresents light to it about 8 weeks in and it didnt seem to make a difference. i have plans to get a Bell lighting hood, and digital ballast once the funds become availble. yeah since i started this i have been on this sight as much as possible and have learned many things but i have really come across anything like what i am experencing. I will try and post some pic but i dont have a way to at the moment. thanks for all the advice.

if your gonna get a digital ballast i would recommend quantum ballast, lots of good features and a nice warranty. I have 4 1000 watters and LOVE EM...and believe me if you get root rot you will know it.
