My first grow ever

So, I officially started my second grow with some cutting from my first. I guess I will be migrating to a different journal here soon enough. Anyways, I have 6 cutting and 3 are rooting amazingly...the others are taking their sweet time but are showing signs of rooting.

My question is, should I transplant the ones with roots about 2 inches long to soil now? They do not look healthy in the DWC (see picture 2). Their roots are growing amazing but the top of the plant is jut STRUGGLING! Could this be an issue with the DWC setup? I also put some Thrive Alive in there and some light was leaking into the water so it kinda turned into some pond scum looking water. Could that have done this to my babies?:wall:

Second, I have some spider mites :-( in the ladies in the flower room. This is the second time they have made a little visit. Anyone know a good way to get rid of those suckers? I am using "don't bug me" spray right now.

Oh, and the first pick is from a day or so ago of them sleeping. I had not checked on them all day and forgot the light would be off at 8pm.

:peace:

Try using TAT Foggers, they cost about 2 bucks each. make sure your light and fans are off. Since your room is so small, I would open the zipper up and just fog the entire crawl space, repeat this every 4 days spraying the leaves in between fogs with rubbing alcohol and water mixture. Mixture depends on strength of alcohol. I used 1/3 "70% alcohol" and 2/3 water.

The main thing is to make sure you are consistent because if you forget to spray or fog it only takes them a couple of days to mature in to adults and lay more eggs.

By the way, put those girls in some dirt!

Yeah THC I did set off the bug fogger. With all the warnings on it, I was really afraid I was going to blow something up. All is well though. I had a mite problem and after a couple of sprays with "Don't Bug Me" and a fogger and no traces of mites. Also, the clones are coming alone. The ones transplanted into soil took a turn for the worse and I am worried they might not make it. However, the ones left in the DWC are doing well!

Looking good man! this is fun, isn't it? I personally would not have used a Tat, but if THCoG has and it's worked... Good luck on the second batch, and can't wait to see your flowering ladies fill out. :weed:

I would baby those clones in the dirt, and use zero nutes except for maybe 1/4 strength Thrive Alive. after about 2-3 wks, start feeding. :-D

He didnt use tat, but for future purpose TAT works great and doesnt have any of the the chemicals that can absorb into the plant so it's perfect for foods or green.

Haha, yeah its in the title! Not fully all my grow, THC hooked it up with seedlings! But yah its been fun a learning experience. I am getting really excited because the buds are really starting to fill out and they are soaking up all the water the 2.5 gallon pots can hold in 2 or 3 days. THey are all about a foot tall and between the 3 plants I have 22 colas all about the same height due to supper cropping! There is probably an equal number of smaller sites unterneath the main canopy they are also flowring nicely! As they mature I get increasingly paranoid (smell). I read a lot of people getting busted because of that so I need to do something mostly because of my sanity because the smell isn't very strong.

So, I developed a small problem with one of the 3 larger ladies in the flower room. here is a picture of one of the leaves. It is pretty good representation of the res of the fan leaves. Some are all green and healthy look. Most look like this one and some others have even more brown spots. All girls are the same strain, soil, nutes, and water.

Anyone have any clue whats wrong???

not sure bro, looks like it could be a mag deficiency though that doesn't make since considering you are using nutes and FFOF. Try stepping up your magical a little bit I guess. Doesn't look like nute burn because that usually starts at the tip and works it's way in. Also, doesn't look like a ph issue but I would test the run off just in case.

doesn't really look like a Mag def, but more like a Calcium def. What's your pH? Check the run off too? I can't remember, are you still in MG soil or did you transplant?

AFTER establishing correct PH, I would definitely suggest the MagiCal as THCoG said.

I do put Magical in the nutes already! Put in more that what the bottle says??? OK ill have to check the runoff but if the PH was not correct then why wouldn't the other ladies show the same symptoms. They get nutes out of the same mixture. Also, I am still in MG, it hasn't been a problem with these ladies, only with the clones. BTW two clones died well pretty much. All that is left of a root system and a couple dried of leaves and a stem. I guess it is technically alive but we will see.

Here are the flowering picks you asked for. 4 and 1/2 to 5 weeks of 12/12. Let me know what yall think

might be heat problems they look a little hot. could be because the need water though.

They stay at about 80 degrees so I don't think it is heat either. How do I cure the above mentioned deficiencies?

Also, I will test PH as soon as I water again.

I think your problem is MG. I thought you had bought a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Test that PH and lets go from there.

So my lady gets worse and worse by the day. She is even more brown and yellow today. Should I water early just so i can test the PH of the runoff or wait until she is dry (1 or 2) more days. Also, the leaves are starting to turn down at the tips. Finally, the man cola is one of the only ones that does not have brown spots but is a very bright green. What to do?????????? Help Please
