So recently me and my buddy thought about the idea of growing. Basically our habits of smoking cost crazy amounts and we thought about what we could do with all the money we spend on weed... but we still gotta keep blazin haha so why not grow our own smoke?
anyways long story short i ended up buying a pack of 10 Master Kush seeds from nirvana seeds, as well as an AeroGarden
. I was kinda skeptical about the AeroGarden at first, but from what I read on forums it seemed that peoples only problem with them was that the light doesn't go up very high. But i was able to solve this by purchasing a special version of the AeroGarden called the "VeggiePro" which has a larger base and also the arm on the light extends to about 3 feet.
The Aerogarden has 6 pods to grow plants in, but I am only using 4, one for each corner of the base, so that the plants will have more room when they get big.
My plants are now 11 days old. However, I replaced one of the pods with a new seed because the one that sprouted in it seemed very weak. The new seedling is now 3 days old and has begun sprouting. I also made this one a little different because I decided to use a seed from the bag of free seeds that came with my Master Kush Seeds.
So, to sum everything up I now have 4 baby plants in my aerogarden. 3 which have sprouted and have leaves (master kush strain), that are 11 days old. And one which has just started to push off the ground (unknown strain), that is 3 days old.
Basically there are two reasons i decided to make this forum. One is that since I really want a place that I can document the growth of my plants and learn from my experiences to help me with future grows. And Two is that I honestly really have no clue what I'm doing so I would really appreciate any advice or comments that anybody has.
I'm completely new to this and all I have had to help me learn is forums like this and also I purchased a copy of Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible by Jorge Cervantes. These are my only resources so if you have time to follow my progress and help me out please do!
I have been taking pictures since the beginning of growing plants and will post them on here for you all to see. Not the best quality, taken from my iPhone... but hopefully enough that you can tell me if everything looks good!
I'll put them in 4 different posts, one for each plant. Plant #1 will be the plant in the top left corner of the AeroGarden, and then we will go to 2, 3, and 4 in a counter clockwise direction around the AeroGarden. In this post i'll put pictures i've taken of the aerogarden as a whole.
