My first grow (Noob Post)

Wow considering all you had to work with I'm very impressed. I'm also curious to know if that led made much of a difference. I have a large expensive led and thought about getting a few smaller 1 for undergrowth

Honestly I dont think its helping a lot however it's not hurting. I got it off ebay for 30 bucks.I added a 3rd CFFL need to post some pics camera battery dead. I'll charge em up post a current pic.Been on 12/12 for 3 weeks now no obvious little girls yet.

I think I may have had some light polution in the dark cycle I think I have that fixed now,I also read that using the medium I have I dont have to worry about PH since I change the water weekly, what do you think?

Fianlly seeing some white hairs 2 girls outta the 5 left.Woot! I am changing my light cycle as well it's getting to cold at night 40', light at night off during the day. also went on a trimming frenzy.

well just wanted to wish you luck on your grow .. I too have a lil closet grow opp .. right now am vegging 5 bag seeds growing under a T5 24w and two 17w T8 i got from walmart , i changed the light bulb from a 7800k purple looking light to a 4200k white light for a total of 8000 lumens .. i got 3 computer fans running on a 19w laptop AC converter its hood but its working very so far when i go in to flowering am going to throw some CFLs in to the mix ... PLS dont hit me back up talking about i got some plants under MH lights or some other bullshit like that.. am poor and i know more lights=more buds .. but am just doing this as a hobby to smoke my own shit .. ama throw some pics up when i can ..

same here if i manage to save enough cash i get better lights.

I finally got the supermacro feature to work on my camera. look hairs!

3 of the 6 are female only 2 left that have not sexxed yet. I will give em another day or 2 and if no show I am gonna hack em down.

So I have been super busy and not able to post, here are some pics from the 6th.

cut back on the nutes, the new growth looks like its a little stressed.

no, it wouldn't. paint it like the walls. the glass from the mirror would absorb light rather than reflect it where it is needed.

Well I got my 150W HPS light in but an Epic fail was soon to follow. I installed the light and turned it on locked everything up and decide to give it an hour or two and then i would check how things were. Keep in mind I had to cut the tops off in order to fit the light in there, except on one plant my first born and what i call my perfect angel.Decide after about an hour and a half to check up and see how things were going.Good thing i did! All the buds and the top on my Perfect angel were melted. All the buds within 6" of the light were toasted. I cut off all the burnt buds and burnt them some more I ended up getting out the jig saw and cutting a hole in the top of the cabnet and mounted the light above'ish most of the heat stays out of the grow area except some from the bulb.It's day 4 since that happned and things are starting to grow again looks like it won't be a total loss. Plants are drinking a lot of water. I was counting all the buds and figured that if I got a gram off each buds I would end up with about 30 grams. I guess will see. -Cheers

Damn, that sucks about the burnt buds. Thankfull ya got to it before it got any worse.

Hope it all comes back 10 fold for ya.

thanks mon! Things are looking better day by day. I'll post some picks soon.

150w hps can get hot in small grow space. try a cool tube type set up, you may have to make your own.

Update with pics. 2 weeks into recovery.



The HPS light seems to be doing well.
