harvest day!!
good news and bad news. bad news first, my friend took his camera back YESTERDAY.
you'll have to take my word for how it looks, but i'm happy with it. some buds turned a little purple, but nothing too crazy. i never trimmed before, and i wish i could throw some pics up to see how yall think i did, but i don't feel comfortable using my phone or other devices to take pictures with. i trimmed the whole leaf of some of the bigger ones sticking out; and then just trimmed any of the leaf tips that were sticking out that didn't have tric's on it. the buds look good, so i guess i did okay.
as for weights (you'll just have to take my word for it, sorry yall)
overall weight of plant (cut at base of stem at soil): 67.6g
main cola (+those 4 small colas that were growing at the base of it): 23.4g (13.5g trimmed and without those other 4 lil guys)
trim: 3.8g
random nugs that didn't have enough stem to hang: 6.1g
so assuming ~70% weight will be lost due to evaporation and i guess some stem weight, i should end up with ~1-1.5 oz dry. which i'm pretty damn happy with. i'm just hoping the drying/curing process i don't fuck up..haha.
right now, the temp in the cab is 74*F and ~60% RH. i hung the bigger nugs with stems and then put the trim in a small paper bag and those little nugs in a different paper bag. for the drying part, what do i want the RH to be at, and at what RH should i put them into jars? i turned my exhaust fan down pretty low, i'll check on the humidity in a couple hours.
thanks to everyone who followed along, gave me advice and help. if i get that camera back (or buy a new one) i'll take pics of the finished product. i'll keep this thread going throughout my drying/curing process, and then i'm probably going to do an auto grow in the box. i have g13 northern lights feminized auto and dinafem roadrunner #2 feminized auto seeds, any thoughts on which i should do next?
