That's not great at all, the poor plant is stretching terribly. Get your lights closer if you're using CFL's, and it looks like you are. Also get rid of the tin foil, that will only cause hot spots if it does anything at all. Try painting the area white, or even get some poster board on the walls around your plant. Lots of people also use the cheap-as-can-be solarblankets used for camping, made of highly reflective mylar. Not trying to piss on your fire bro, the plant looks healthy and happy, but for a month or more it could and should look a lot better. First time or two growing is a big learning experience but keep it up and it will pay off.

what are CFL's?
CFL is short for compact fluorescent. The best light for Veg (which you are in now) however some that don't have the funds or other means will use CFLs. They are far less productive but do definitely work, as long as you are using the right ones with the correct spectrum.

i see, what wattage and kelvin? add some cfls for side lighting for this plant, like they said no offense but i'd also start some new seeds asap and just get like 2 clamp lights, paint the walls white, get 2 y splitters, and 4 cool white 6500k cfls, keep em 1-2 inches from the top and you'll have nice short dense plants, i consider height kind of a bad thing, i use cfls and would much rather have shorter bushy plants. look into topping and lst and scrog if ya have a lil free time too. best of luck, any ?'s feel free to ask(now or in the future)i'd be happy to help all i can.

Eesh. Alright, kelvin sounds more complex than it is. Go to the indoor growing section, then the CFL lighting subforum and read for christ's sake. Every time you buy a fluoro bulb it will give you a kelvin rating. It will be 4 digits punctuated by a K. You want 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. Get more CFLs, your plants are completely light starved. The bulbs will also have a total lumen count listed on the box, make sure you find that. Add up the lumens you're getting and get 4,000 lumens per square foot of area lit. You can do 3k but since your plants are way behind I'd do a minimum of 4k. Read that subforum, your questions will be answered.

Here's what a properly vegged plant's stem looks like, just snapped this a second ago. This is a secondary branch with less growth on it than the mainstem. Note that the internodes are about 2-3 inches apart. You need more light!!

i threw away the box a long time ago :/ ill have to go back and read up on that..thanks for the info..i think its best if i add a light on each side..that should help..im in a very broke position..i take whatever i find in my house and put it to good use..such as a broken xbox 360..made it into a bong with some hot glue and plastic :P..im very creative, but it seems creativity might not get me out alive in this complicated mess we call growing..time to research some more..

Cheapest way to set up CFLs that I've found is buy a shoplight fixture for 4, Y splitter for 1, two 42w 6500k bulbs for 3. Eight bucks for over 3k lumens.
