My first grow questions

I have a 24" box currently. I'm trying to make it into a small, and stealthy grow box. I'm currently germinating the seeds. I'm using the 'Easy Ryder Strain'?

I was thinking I could get 1-2 60 Watt 'Spot Lights'. Would one lights be enough power for one plant?

Could I use normal water, like straight out of the tap?

What would be the best 'soil' to grow it in?

Should I use mylar, and a air duct in the box?

Read up on the cfl page on lighting. To answer your question, probably not unless you have a diff meaning of spot light than the norm.

2" total. Subtract space for lights and you better know what you're doing! Read up on the microgro/cab section (or whatever it is called).

No answer to best soil.

Plain tap - maybe. straight out tap not a good idea. I filter and let it sit. But in my opinion, you need to ph it or know where it is at. Read up on ph, nutes, etc.

You will get bashed for asking generic questions that show you either are not sharing details or you have read up a bit first. Spend about five hours reading the sticky threads in the relevant sections of the site and then ask some specifics.

Good luck. First grow is all about learning, don't expect to yield much.

I'm new to this site, but not new when it comes to indoor growing. You should shed the idea that you're going to be able to grow your plants the entire plant cycle in a 2 foot high box. This box would be perfect for seedlings or young clones. Depending on what kind plants you're growing, you should invest in a grow tent that's 6 feet high. I'm not familiar with Easy Ryder. Distilled water is best. When it comes to soil, I like to use anything that has a high nitrogen percentage. Honestly I think mylar is over rated. I just paint the walls with white paint. Air movement is extremely important, you need fresh air coming in and you need to exhaust the air. Hope this helps.

I bla-bla-bla...

Do not use spot lights... fit as many CFL's as will fit into it...

Could I use normal water, like straight out of the tap?
Sometimes it's best to filter it, or at least let it sit over night...

What would be the best 'soil' to grow it in?
Any brand name soil, maybe a mix of a couple of brands...
However, let me stress on you that you want to add:
Perilite and Vermiculite I add to any store brand
3 parts soil one part Perilite
3 parts soil one part vermiculite
Lets soil drain better, and leaves pockets of air for roots to fill and grow...
...
Never let your plants grow space go over 84 f degrees...
Before you put your plant in do a "dry run" and leave lights on timer, and check the RH and Temp... so buy yourself a good gauge with a memory...

Should I use mylar, and a air duct in the box?
Those will work... also duct out

Seriously friend spend about 20 hours reading about the basics here and elsewhere.

Then come back with some intelligent questions.

If you ask super simple basic questions all you are going to get is responses from 15-year olds.

I'm gonna have to leave that one alone. I think there are ladies in the room. But wait, they were there too?
I have children older than 15. They look at me as an old man. When I look at me, I see an old man. But I don't feel like an old man, I can still do 50 pushups.:clap:
