My first grow room, whatcha think

Hey everyone i have been on here for a month and wanted to post some pics of my grow room and setup to get some input on if i am doing this right. So let me know what i need to improve.. This is my first attempt so please be nice, i am trying as hard as i can and have been making lots of mistakes but your imput will be very valuable. Also i plan on splitting this room in half for a flowering spot. the room is 8x8x8

1. Is my lights to close?
2. Why are some of the leaves brown at the end
3. how come 2 plants are smaller than the other 2

3 of the new plants in the cups are church and i cant wait to smoke them haha

The other plants i dont know what they.

I want to get 2 mother plants one of the church and one of the other i dont know what it is but do i have to wait till i start flowering them to determine the sex?

It looks a little nute burnt.
When you put your hand over the tops of your plants is it too hot?If not then you should be fine.
Yes you have to sex them to determine sex.

Its not to hot by the touch but the room temp reaches 90 during the day. i have no a/c in there only a humidifer. i was hoping i wouldnt have to veg them to figure sex because i dont want to flower 2 females but i guess i can stick them back to growing once i see what the sex is and then start cloning them?

What type of lights are you using? Your babies look like they are really reaching for some light. The room has potential. Do research and add better stuff as you go.

You can wait 2-3 months until they show preflowers then you can know the sex.If its at 90 you need to bring it down to the most 85.

i have a 400 mh main light and 3 cfl lights 27 watts 1152 lumens and i have a 400 hps but saving that for flowering. or should i add the hps now to help out? or do you think i should get another mh?

Yeah i just dont think i can add an a/c in there... im getting close to my power use and dont want to use to much more to power on an a/c and i'm not sure how i could even put one in. any other way to lower temp? i give them lots of water and mist them 3 times a day. i thought they would be bigger by now, been growing for months..

really thought this would be easier, i have grown lots of veggies outside and has never been this hard. I had 10 foot sunflowers!! but god forbid my pot gets higher than 10 inches. lol

add a fan blowing on them, put the CFLs closer and do you have a hole in that box thing you made to have air exchange
