what are you planning about doing in the future about smell?
I have a home made carbon scrubber after the exhaust.
heres a pic:

Well, this is my first grow, so I haven't gotten to the point where they would smell yet. I made it myself, the air comes into one internal chamber and then is forced thru some of the crystal cat litter which eliminates odor on the way out. I also have an Ionic Bulb in my box which is supposed to produce negative ions that eliminate odors.
We'll seeeee
got a pic of that set up?
Went to borders and raided their home gardening section.
Clockwise from top left:
The Cannabible 2 - Jason King
The Cannabible 3 - Jason King
Marijuana Success Indoors: Garden Tours and Tips - Ed Rosenthal
Easy Marijuana Gardening - Ed Rosenthal
Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible - Jorge Cervantes
Cannabis Cultivation: A Complete Grower's Guide 2nd Edition - Mel Thomas
Marijuana New School: Indoor Cultivation - Jeff Mowta
So far, Marijuana New School is my favorite, because its got a lot of diagrams and whatnot. I've heard good things about Jorge Cervantes, but his book is really cluttered, confusing and full of advertisements! The Cannabibles are really interesting, but not too helpful for growers.
Did you wire the lighting yourself? if so, could you elaborate?
I guess you can call it "wiring" but its not too complicated. I just bought a 3 socket bathroom light fixture that was mirrored. Normally its supposed to me mounted to a wall and hardwired in, so it has three wires coming out the back; a positive, a negative, and a ground. So what I did was just buy what they call an appliance power cord replacement, which is basically just an extension cord cut in half to expose the wiring. So then I wired the positive to the positive, the negative to the negative and so on. Voila! Plug it in and there are your sockets. I used little light bulb splitters so I could use more bulbs. And when I need even more light I'll put two light bulb splitters in th light bulb splitters, effectively giving me room for four per original socket thus 12 bulbs from that little fixture. The fixture was only like $10 and the appliance power cord replacement was like $3
Heres a picture of the original light set-up, I no longer have that giant incandescent bulb in the middle, its been replaced with two CFLs.
Oh, also, that big "plant light" is an incandescent bulb I believe, either way, its not going to help your plants(unless their cold) I made the exact same mistake on my first grow.
Welp, I decided that I guess it was time to transplant since there were roots popping out the side of the peat pots. So I removed the peat pots carefully with some scissors and transplanted them into some 2 liters I'd been saving. Unfortunately I ran out of potting soil half way through, so 3 of them are still in the peat pots until I can get some more soil.
I had quite a shock when I came home this evening. I opened my box to check on my babies and I found that the temperature was 100 degrees! Turns out my girlfriend's shirt had gotten sucked into the passive intake and was blocking fresh airflow.
I got the shirt out, and I put in a little fan I got at target to move some more air around in the box.
So anyways, here are some pictures:
1 bright ass box
2 the favorite
3 plantttt
4 the guys who missed out
5 the whole picture, with the new circulation fan
hahaha i like the lil grow box i would line the inside with some sort of reflective material so that u get maximum lighting black isnt a good color
