My first grow **White Widow**w/pics

Yes i have a thermometer if you look at the pic with the light its hanging of the light. The light is from sun sys and yes it has a built in balast. It throws off some heat but the 6in inline w/ a 10x10 in passive intake. I have had no heat problems so far to tell you the truth i was having trouble when the temps were getting chilly my box dropped down to 66. i was venting the air into the attic i had to vent in the same room to keep a steady temp of between 72 and 76. I can buy a the glass and the bolt in flange for venting but i didnt.
 
Another thing you can do for gnats and what not is churn the top inch of your soil on a daily. They eggs will get burnt up by the light. 2 inches of sand on top of the soil is good. I have the Don't Bug Me, and I use it as an addition to Neem Oil. Neem Oil makes your leaves nice and shiny so they can take in everything. It is worth it. I use Einstein Oil for the leaves and 70% neem for the soil.
 
thx bud... im gonna spray the soil with FFDBM and give the first inch of soil a flip and spray it again. Then i am gonna try to give the each plant a bath in it. im gonna spray down the pots themselvs and sparay down the floor. hopefully this works
 
That should be fine. If you still have a problem after (which I don't think you will) just buy a can of aerosol insecticide for fleas and set that off in the growroom. (it is enclosed right?)

The box is homemade its 4Lx4Wx7H made from 2x4s and ply wood. I tapped all the seems with aluminum tape. The door is starting to warp from heat so its letting a little bit of light out wich i cover with a blanket. The intake is passive wich is a 10x10 vent. i plan on upgrading to a tent after harvest.
 
Sweet sounds a nice box. Yeah. Sometimes in lower populations it's cheaper to set off a bomb. But you got things under control.
 
just checked on my package coming from nehydro.com and it will arive sometime tomorro. Ph meter and ph up and ph down finaly some peice of mind. The box is alright all said and done i should of just ordered a tent.

but then you don't get that great feeling of accomplishment :lol:

I built my rooms, and I am NO carpenter :) Boy was I proud.
 
Yeah the feeling you get is awsome when your done building. The only thing thats sucks is that its huge and would suck if insurence adjuster or some one had to come to the house it would be imposible to hide and a tent could come down and the whole grow could be stashed away. better to be safe than sorry.
 
I have a Duct fan and an Air conditioner sticking out of a plywood room in my basement... I know how you feel. I have a funace guy that comes every year to clean and inspect it. Cable guys, electricians, plumbers. They've all been down there. Normally they don't ask. It is locked. If they don't see weed they can't say anything for sure and cops can't get a warrant. plus... its a misdemeanor now anyways :)
 
Day 26..on fri they will be 4 weeks old. im planing for nov 15 to switch to 12/12.... tonight gave the girls a bath in the dont bug me . I also lstd a few of the plants i was alittle hesitant because i broke one last week. i fed them 1tbls of molassas and 1/2 tsp of grow big. I tested the tap water and its a stedy 8.0 when i added the grow big it was at 6.2 so i didnt adjust it. The run off was 5.8 that seems pretty good. i am over all happy with how everything is comming. they are really starting to smell good.

I'd stay away from the molasses until flowering bro. Might contribute to bug problems. Draw them into your grow room/ Think the grow big should suffice

And everything looks beautiful by the way... bongsmilie

i kinda fell better now that i know what the ph is. Yeah ok i will stay away from the molassas till flowering. There wernt many mites but i almost used the whole bottle onn the plants pots and the floor of box i saved a couple of ozs just incase.
 
i actually just sold my box due to i had some backed up bills but i should have one soon enough im a call of duty freak was rated in the top 500 in hardcore search and destroy in world at war...what games do you play??
