My first grow

Hey guys,
This is my first time growing and i'm making a progress thread to show the progress and hopefully get some pointers or tips from anyone. Or even to help other begin a first grow.

Anyways, here it is.

1x 100Watt HPS
4x 40Watt fluorescent grow bulbs

18 hours of light and 6 hours of night for the vegetative state.

This is my current setup. This is my practice plant. Im just kind of buying things as i need them so when this one is done I can start growing more at a time. I will hang the long grow bulbs to raise and lower to the plant height as well as light multiple plants. So here it is, let me know what you think and any tips for a low..er budget grow.

you will need more light for your flower stage. I would not go with anything less than 400w for flower. You are also loosing a lot of light by having that one side open. you can also lower that light a little.

id lower the light a lot.

400 watts for just one plant?

I changed it up a little to have the florescents closer to the plant.
The fan is on 24 hours
I water it twice a day or more.
I was giving it nutrients everyday until i saw the burn. Now i use them every 3 days or so.

Nutrients also have 2.2% Iron, .14% Sodium, and 12.2% Sulfur.

your watering it WAY to much, you have to wait till the soil drys out a bit to encourage strong root development. wait till the top 1/2 inch of soil is dry before watering again. I water mine every 2 days and they are in flowering with a much bigger light.

Its dry a good inch down. Would that mean the light is too low now?
