There's a lot of different companies out there. I personally started with Fox farms ocean forest soil and fox farms liquid trio "grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom" Look up the feeding schedule online and stick to the guidlines. I feel its a very good nute lineup for people who are new to growing because its a simple schedule to follow and it has good results in the end. Either way let us know what you decide to use, your gonna need something to produce some decent buds on your girls. If you have any questions shoot, thats what where here for

Heres what I would do.1. Get 2 gallon buckets for you plants.
2. Get a bag of FOx Farms ocean forest soil, 20 bucks a bag yeah I know its expensive but when your trimming swollen nugz of gold in a couple months you will thank me
3. Pick up there nute lineup aswell, all you really need is the liquid trio "grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom." Then follow there feeding chart that you can find online or they have little pamplets you can grab. These steps alone will increase your yield and set you on the right track to some decent bud development and healthy overall plants!
Then transplant everything, water everything in really good and let them recover and dry out for a couple days. Then throw them into flowering so you can tell the males from the females!

two questions:
so let me get this straight. get all that stuff (foxfarms), transplant in 2 gallon buckets using fox farms soil. water them, dry them out for 2 days? and then put them into flowering? if you seen my pictures i would assume that they are way too small to put into flower, right? or should i wait and veg more?
when should i put the nutes in? after the two day dry period?

Good questions.
How big do you want them to get? Keep in mind plants will double and even triple in size when flowering.
My first grow was kind of a disaster because like you I didn't know when to switch or how big I wanted my plants "at first". that left me with 3 out of 4, 3feet tall males lol... thats why for your first grow by the time you transpant them and let them dry out you will probably see quite a bit a growth after the first week of transplant. so by the time you find out there females they will probably already be over a foot tall if your not doing any kind of training for you first grow, which I would recommend just learning all the other factors before getting into training your plants.
As for the soil and when it will dry I like using the "lift" method. Basically take your pot after you water it in, "when you transplant make sure you water them in really good to avoid air pockets. a light tap on the ground will help decrease chances of air pockets too." Anyway you basically feel the pot when its fully watered and you can clearly tell when it drys up anywhere from 1-7 days later depending on conditions and the size of the root ball of the plant.. "The point here is to get used to the pot weight when its full and dry so you know when your plant is thirsty." Looking at the size of your plant and assuming the conditions are normal I would say it will take about 3-5 days at least to dry. One thing to remember when watering is its better to underwater then overwater. If you come home after 5 days and your girl looks like shes about to die because she's so dry then you know you went about a day to long. Once you water her she will perk back up within minutes most of the time. So you don't want to wait to long but you don't want to water when your pots still have plenty of moisture in them which is probably one of the biggest mistakes when first starting off..
So,
Let your little ones dry up a little, cut the bottle or lightly tap on the sides until you gently get the root ball out. fill the pot up about half way, put the rootball down and then pack the rest of the dirt around the rootball and steam and fill to nearly the top. Now water in really good and give it a few taps on the ground and let the runoff drain. "Feel the weight everday and you will start to notice after a couple day the pot starting to get a little lighter. Stick you finger an inch or so down in the soil, if there any moisture at all then your girl is still good on water for now.. That should about do it as far as the transplant and watering.
After the first initial watering after the transplant I would introduce the nutes right away. Just hit them with half or even 1/4 dose of grow big and big bloom and see how they react. Gradually step up the doses and when your girl starts flowering you can add in the tiger bloom. Be cautious though because once you start adding the tiger bloom it lowers the ph a little so this is when a meter comes in handy. As long as your between 6-7ph in soil you will be fine. After you hit them with there first dose of nutes I would decide wether you want to flip to 12/12 or keep vegging. Hope this helps, any more questions just ask!

but one thing im still stuck on..im like about 1 to 2 weeks of veg right now. based on my pictures do you think i should transplant and put into 12/12 to find out the sex? or continue veging for a while then transplant?
do i dry the soil out first then transplant then water?(1.dry for two days or so.

3.water
4.put on12/12 to find out sex?)
is putting the plant under 12/12 the only way you can find out the sex? then after keep it on 12/12?
when i transplant do i want to keep my old soil on the roots? or just have the root ball exposed when i put it in the new soil?
does veg time determine how big the final plant will be at harvest. (less veg time=smaller final product)(longer veg time=bigger final product)
im sry. im trying to understand everything u are trying to say. i defiantly understand the nutes tho.

After you transplant Personally I would give it 5-7 days to recover and grow a little more of a root mass then switch to 12/12.
Yes 12/12 is the only way to tell sex unless your vegging for a long time it can show on its own eventually.
When you transplant yes keep as much old soil on the roots as possible. You can dump the shake out if you want, FFOF soil is the shit

If you took that same plant under the same conditions and vegged it for 2-4 weeks you would most likely double or triple that yield. The plant will be trilple the size too as far as bud sites, branching etc.
THere are quite a few factors that you want to keep an eye on. When it comes to yield assuming all the condition are met as far as temp, humidity, nutes, etc. The two biggest factors for yield I would say are Veg and Light.

no its not blue. i think its a shadow and my cameras settings.... some leafs came out sorta ripped when they first grew out, i dont know why...one thing i do want to know is why are the leafs curling. i thought it was the lamp but its only a 150w hps. and about a foot away. i ended up moving it up a little more. then i was thinking i could be due to bad seeds....ҖҗlegilizeitҗҖ;6517902 said:

they are pretty average. i got a fan running out of there. not hot at all. quick question, do you think i should start flowering now. is that safe by the looks of how big they are?

I would start flowering now givin the space and amount of light your working with. Looking good though, if you don't have a thermometer/hygrometer then I suggest you pick one up for HD or walmart for like 10-15 bucks. Its very important to know the exact temp across your canopy!
