My First Grow!

This is my bad bitch the only survivor from the batch she is getting so beautiful and busy she is a wonderful cross Top 44 x Bubblegum and it was a free seed...
I'd recommend this strain to any new or experienced grower she's really easy to grow! I don't have the most expensive setup(some 100w equivalent CFL 2700k soft white for flowering) so i'm not expecting to yield much really just a great learning experience so far I've done HST and LST i topped her at about 5 nodes high, probably why she looks so bushy and i super cropped a few times witch didn't seem to effect it much just made some of the nutrient packed swollen areas most likely making her more sturdy as well...
Any Guesses on how old she is?
How much do you think she will yield?(right now 3 ½ weeks into flower)
My cat tore some of the lower fan leaves and a bud site off should i cut those branches for clones so its energy will go to the top or will they still have some weight? (I've already mainlined it and took 4 clones to put outside)
Any tips, Advice, or Questions welcome Appreciate it Glad to be Back!IMG_3370.JPG IMG_3372.JPG IMG_3369.JPG

For a learning experience you're doing well! She's definitely sturdy. Pruning around the bottom where no usable light is reaching should help your yield a little, but it's good that's not your focus. You can use what you can for clones. I also have a couple of the same freebies so I'm Sub'd to see how she turns out. I'm planning a freebie run to harvest right after thanksgiving so I can bring in 2017 with some "well known" strains including c99, blue cheese, super silver haze, and gsc.

wow thanks for the reinforcement Joe! hellz yeah i am sure yours will turn out much better being as you have the proper setup, nutes, and tools to do the job, cant wait to check out some of your grows, wish i was fortunate enough to have a big grow like that! i'm just hoping that shes ready in 44 days like top 44 and taste like the famous bubblegum strain, one can only dream ahaha, do you think she will at least yield a quarter?(she was only growing a month before i switched to 12/12 and if i dont have strong enough lights would that cause lower potency and would it really prolong the flowering process?
I've been told that longer dark periods cause it to flower faster just more fluffy buds, is this true? if so then how will the weaker lights affect it?
i just wanted to do a quick grow but i hope it doesn't turn into a total disappointment like he said above, because i hate buying weed from sellers id much rather have my own shit but wouldn't everyone...

If you prune up the bottom of the plant and ad a few more CFLs if you can, you should atleast get a quarter +/-. Keep the CFLs as close as possible without burning the leaves, trust me, they will, and don't over water/feed which looks like you're doing well in that department, you'll be fine. CFLs will indeed produce some good product and for learning I'm going to suggest you stick with it to see for yourself. I recently harvested a plant grown under a cfl with a 300 watt led added around week 4/5 and it flowered just fine. Smooth smoke with only a week and a half cure. Once you get the basics down, you can upgrade your light. The basics are more important than having 1000 watt lights and grow shitty plants. You're on the right track. :leaf:

Better luck outdoors bro! Great learning experience tho. Do u already have the rooting gel to take clones? Id take em now and put outdoors as soon as rooted

If it were me, Now take this with a grain of salt, Id take the top 2/3 of that plant and clone it if possible or trash it. She's really tall and clfs don't have much penetration. But your 3.5 weeks into flower it will stress the shit outta it most likely. There just isn't enough light imo unless you get like 10 cfls and surround it. But Even at 23watts per your almost at 250 and could get a hps. And more Cfls more heat.

If you chop it down and get the lights close I think youd get better denser nugs. Throw a screen over it for training to keep the canopy more level.

The upside she looks nice a green. That's more than half the battle. Imo

I feel like the top part of the plant will yield the most so I really don't want to chop that off but I did take joes advice and pruned up the bottom(most of the bottom will probably be shake anyway because the stems aren't that thick.)for a bit more for clones I will definitely invest in some more lighting as soon as I get paid...
I'm going to try and get about five more 100w equivalent red spectrum lights probably a good Idea. why 80w bro I figured higher wattage would be better but is that not the case when flowering?
I was wondering if I could help light penetration by cutting some of the bigger fan leaves off the top or would that be a bad idea since they bring in much of the energy to produce thick dense buds...
also I'm looking for an affordable carbon filter for sale but the thing is i'd much rather have higher quality lights for the 100$ they want for them... is there any other way possible to cover up the smell I know its really not worth going to prison over one fucking plant..
thanks for the positive feedback and tips peeps.

If you cut away one or two fan leaves blocking budsites, that's good. As for smell, you can use ona gel, that should help out alot more than nothing. Check Craigslist for used items. Another member here scored nicely on some lighting equipment.

awesome that ona gel looks like some good stuff man I'm thinking of getting that apple crumble one good looking out yeah I'm going to look on craigslist for some new lights that is a great idea I just hope that they will last! so the ona gel just basically covers up the smell with another smell seems legit to me thanks again joe

When you saying what watt your CFL is, don't use equivalent.... Say the true watts.

Not the best light source. May be good for vegging but for flowering you are going to have a lot of popcorn buds barely worth the time to manicure. If you can spring for a HPS I would sacrifice this plant after taking as many clones as I could. Then do a sea of green. To be honest, I'd be surprised if you got 2 ounces of low density buds that are going to be a pain to manicure.
