This is my first attempt to grow some plants (not counting the time i germinated some seeds freshman year and didnt know anything)
They're just bagseeds from what was going around DFW under the name "popcorn" (i think that's the batch they came from).
This is really just a trial run, i ordered a feminized mix that should arrive someday, so if and when i start growing those i'll have some necessary experience.
They have been under 400w MH bulb for 4 weeks.
I started out with like 25 plants in jiffy pot-like containers, and then transplanted the best 20 looking of those to 4 inch terra cotta pots, and after about 3 weeks i transplanted the 9 best of those 20 plants to black, 5-gallon nursery pots. (I have a 10th nursery pot, but i just got some rockwool plugs and 4"x4" blocks, and i wanted to see how well a younger plant, ~2-4 week old, does when set to flower when i decide to flower the other 9, and also to get some experience with the rockwool)
These are my 9 kids
Mom and Dad are the biggest , mom having the most leaf sets, and although ashley is the smallest, the shoots coming out of the lowest node of ashley are the most developed... i'm a little confused, but not worried.
I worry that they're a little short, but they're growing sturdy, so i'm hoping it'll just help out with heavier buds later, but yeah, the tallest is about 5-6 inches, and i want them to be at least 16" before i flower, and then pray for 5 or more females.
I havent added any nutes since before i watered at transplant last weekend (2/22-since i read not to feed at transplant), but i plan on feeding with a higher-N feed when i resume feeding when the soil dries out more, maybe tomorrow.
I welcome any advice or observations that anyone might have.
