My first homemade

so im new on here, and jus wants to show ya guys one of my homemades i hve ade, this thing is almost two years old, haha, still going strng, dont know what it is but is the hardst hittng bong i have and i also have serveal other homemade ones and i new glass bong i jus recently bought, which is amazing jus cz it has color changin glass, haha, i jus dropped my downsteam and bowl forir so m stuck using some nasty ass foil for now :/ but let me knw what ya think of it,

That might be because aluminum foil bowls are harsh but sometimes you do what has to be done. Nice homemade bong though and welcome to RIU.

I wish someone could clarify if it is safe to use aluminum foil for smoking. You can tell from the taste that it might not be good, and if you hit an aluminum piece without anything in it, it will still make smoke. But I've been using aluminum for a long long long time now. I like to stick with the heavy duty aluminum.

If you've been smoking a long long long time now, why not spend a few bucks and by a glass piece and not worry about it anymore?

my first homemade bong had the bowl glued onto the stem with hot glue from a hot glue gun, it kept melting and coming off when we where passing it.lol

yea i never felt safe hitting homemade pieces like that, i always thought smoking the tinfoil/plastic would fuck up my lungs. i was always a fan of putting an actual slide and bowl into the side of the bottle. a ghetto pipe with a "safe bowl"

ya thats what i do now if for some reason i wanna smoke out of a bottle, i stick my stem and bowl in it.
