Hi, Akwa's back! and he has changed the system a bit but not too much. Added some air pumps a fan controller and a deep water culture system that I got at the thrift store for 5.99. Ok so here's the deal. I've been growing some other plants while I have been waiting for some seeds to germinate, a hundred seeds later, I finally have 3 germs! So the plants i have growing in the system (I was using them to confirm that the new improvements work) are 2 cyan pepper (one that i oopsidently snapped in half today) and a bundle of stevia plants (the ones with the super sweet leaves)
So the new setup has a tuppaware thats 4/5 full of water and has an ultrasonic mister in the middle. four holes in the lid where I put the screen structures that I'm containing the plants in. Lots of twine involved. I added an air pump and a switch that supports up to three airstones. I have two in right now and I'm only using one. I have to get a new switch because I don't like the design on my current one. I swear it leaks. I only have one airstone going right now until i go to the neighborhood fish store and pick up the monster that they have on layaway for me. I tore up a ceiling fan and took out the remote control element out of it and wired it up onto the fans and the pump that refills the reservoir. It seems to work really good. Wish me luck!'
Pictures:
1 - The supersonic mister. (it heats up the water so i have it on a timer for once an hour)
2 - The air switch
3 - Where I snapped my cyan pepper plant trying to bonsai it
4 - My big pepper plant and my small pepper plant
5 - The stevia plants
6 - The first germ to pop it's head out above the cotton
7 - All the plants and the system. as you can see, I have another hole for the next set of germs
8 - The power source. two timers (lights and mister) and the rest of the power
