Sure ill move them closer now. Ive been worried about burning my plants
CFLs are fairy safe in regards to burning anything, they dont get crazy hot.
Keep an eye on them for light stress, but i would be very surprised if that happened to be honest. i have a 5 way cfl outlet i use for babies sometimes, its bright but never hot.

I wake up in the morning and run to my tent to check them and get blinded, its like having a flasbang threw at me. Would you recommend buying a grow tent so they're in a more controlled environment. Ive got a cheap greenhouse with kitchen foil taped to it. It limits the positions of my lights alot. It feels as if its not doing the job anymore initially i was over the moon with it from my first setup for growing the plants. Screen Shot 2019-11-28 at 01.49.22.png

You can never go wrong with a tent and a controlled environment for your plants.

Not saying you can't achieve the same goals without a tent, but having a dedicated space for your grow and all the proper equipment will help you out on the journey.

Would you recommend keeping my lights on 24/7 or having them off for periods ?
well thats kinda personal preference i think. Me personally, i always use 18/6....im a firm believer that the plants need and like the 6 hours of down time lol

many are using 24/7 with great success tho so its totally up to you.

That's what happened to me. I started 6 months ago with a box and a cfl bulb.

6 months later... :)

Yep once you get started its a long way down the rabbit hole lol...I started a year ago with a 4x4 kit from amazon( vivosun), since then ive bought 2 more tents, built 3 led fixtures and built a new room with all the fun gadgets, this shit is addictive lol

Nice garden bud, looking good in there.

i prefer 18/6 or 20/4. It helps with root growth, storing energy in the plant and in the end it will help with flavor

If your environment isnt perfect lights off is nice for the plant to get ready for the next day too. noone has a perfect environment
I also dont see really any growth difference between 20/4 and 24/0

Hi guys, I hung my bulbs vertically today. Unfortunately my dog started barking and I got distracted and a small piece of the leaf was touching the bulb and seems to of withered, im getting some rust spots on another plant however while moving from a smaller pot a few days ago the soil crumbled and i essentially had to replant the roots im sure its linked to that as its the only plant showing signs of rust spots. possibly nutrient burn too from when i watered with nutrients a few days ago. Ive had my fan on constantly the past 24 hours not pointing directly at the plants.

A trick for when you get stretching seedlings... you can add a bit of soil to the top of the pot and bury the stem and it will grow roots eventually.. you see
To ya e the pots pretty full already.. add what you can now and when you transplant your the next size pot I’d only leave about 2-5 inches of the stem out of the soil

would repotting further down in my current pots be an option at this stage, i feel as if the long stem is putting alot of strain on the plant and almost falls over when its not propped up.

I guess you could turn it upside down remove some of the dirt at the bottom and put it on the top,, your roots aren’t at the bottom yet but this would definitely stress your plants and they’ll stop growing for a day or two.they seem to have been through a lot of changes to be so young, I would leave it how it is and add a little to the top whatever you can.. use this as a lesson learned next time don’t fill your pots all the way up to the top with soil at first.. because if they stretch you can add more dirt and bury the stem.:bigjoint:

Leave it be. She'll be fine. Not worth the risk you are running trying to repot them now. Mine stay in a solo cup for at least 3-4 wks before I consider moving them whether they are stretchy or not. If it gets to tall and cant stand up, get a skewer and some wire tie and just prop her up until she can stand on her own. Shouldn't be more than a couple days.

When you do go to repot, then you can bury the stem a bit more. Won't hurt a thing.

Hi, I added some more soil to the top and the plants seem to of improved greatly. Seem so much more sturdy and in general alot healthier. Standing up vertical now with no assistance and have my fan blowing indirectly on them.
