First time grow. Got an Aerogarden Extra for my birthday, this is what I've got so far...
White Widow X Big Bud
started on 8/12/12
Using Ionic nutes, but probably going to order Fox Farms soon.
Do I need any additional lighting, or will it not help much? Getting an air stone for it soon too...

No PH meter yet (I know, I know, getting one soon) but I have been using distilled water throughout the grow.

Attempted fimming, I think it worked, but not sure...
The pic of the full plant is about a week old. I've moved her to the middle pod since then cause the other seed never came up :(
I'll be keeping this updated, and if you have any advice let me know.

More lights will give you a bigger plant, but if you don't mind the size it is right now, then your fine. For your setup, you might want to stick with auto-flowering strains since those naturally don't grow more then 2ft tall on average.

We have an autoflower going in another aerogarden, but I wasn't really impressed with it, looking for something higher quality... I plan on setting up a cabinet with an HPS after this, just wanted to try my hand at one before I do.
I have the "power reflector" that came with it on there, would more lights really make a big difference for just the one plant?
Can someone look at the last three pics and tell me if I fimmed right?

Looks like you did but only the growth will show. Throw more light on it now because it will help. Don't fry!

Just put an airstone in yesterday.
Gonna pick up some clamp lights and 2 of the 40w CFLs if they got em.
Would it be to early to start LST?

I just added two 23w 6500k Daylight CFLs with some clamp lights
Anyone know of a good way to attach them though? Right now they're just on some old rulers I had laying around. But I was thinking of building something with some 2x4s to go behind it so I could move them around.

Day 32 from seed, hows she looking?

Any advice? LST look good? How do I know what I can and can't trim off? Seems like there is a lot of big leaves in the way of the new growth, but I don't feel right just chopping em off lol.
Should I actually empty my water and replace it all from time to time?

Been a while, day 54 from seed.
Moved it into the closet, kinda redid the side lighting as I've been going.
Changing it to 12/12 in like a week. Gonna wait and get two more clamp lights, and some 2700k bulbsIMG_0966.jpgIMG_0965.jpgIMG_0967.jpg
I have supercropped it a few times, and just tied it down to spread it to the edges of the Aerogarden.

So considering, picking up a 250 or 400w HPS and setting up a cabinet for just flowering and keeping the aerogarden for a veg area and taking clones.
