Have fun dialing in consistent run off with automated and multiple feeds, it's a challenging task lol.

I've settled on 3 feeds daily that way it's relatively straightforward to work out except for the 4/5 weeks after flipping as the volume is increasing every couple of days.

Also each day the amount getting used can change slightly due minor temps and humidity changes, age also brings regular adjustment in volume.

Once you do get it dialed in its great for the plant, my ec 1st feed 1hr after light on is 0.1 over original then 1.1ec in and 1.1ec out with the next two feeds.

That's with led with HID 0.3/4 was the norm with 3 feeds, 0.1/2 with 6x feeds +1 feed during the dark.

The downside is rarely mentioned it sounds all straightforward but there's a bit more to it once you scratch below the surface it's actually quite challenging to obtain 10/20% per feed.

I'd wrote 10/20% daily I meant 10/20% per feed.

Yes I have to manually switch on the pump for a bit more run off occasionally, once they're settled into flowering it's pretty predictable to within a few hundred, I need to invest in a timer with second increments I think that would save me the hassle or certainly help, I'm stuck with 1 minute and an adjustable flow pump, trying to fit x amount +/- 10/20% into 24hrs it isn't as simple as might seem.

I may even add more of the adjustable drippers to even the spread of flow out some more

Again this is where I may add additional drippers which could be closed and opened when needed etc.

like I said it’s more for reducing my labour intensive way as it was heavy on my back etc.

I ain’t getting any younger (41) lol.

You'll sus it out soon enough it's part of the fun :-)

I've been thinking about scaling back for a while now maybe do one 150x150 packed scrog per year that coincides with the most favourable months.
I'm 50+ with a dodgy back, elbows and knees I've noticed it's starting to get a bit much for me, a 70x70/100 would be fine for the rest of the year with a single plant.

I've been growing a big single plant this time for a break from a full canopy and I've thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit inside the tent and do the necessary work with a cup of tea and a joint, I could use to that :-)

This scrog for me is the fewest plants I’ve grown at once.

It’s actually been really nice just concentrating on 2 rather 4-6 (size dependant) lol.

and I honestly have a better canopy now than I have ever had.

So if I do work at utilising the LBH tutorial like @Alter Jean has mentioned this could even out again and be even better.

the most ive achieved from this room prior to this grow is 439g using the 400w HPS.

although I don’t often fill the entire space of the room with plant surface.

and I don’t often weigh all of my harvests lol.

I simply look at my harvest and decide whether that’s enough smoke for me and if the answer is yes. The grow was a success lmao.

Day 49 of 12/12.

EC0.9 pH6.0

Have completely filled the tote today and gone to twice daily feeding rather than 3x as I’ve just done a feed and got 4litres in runoff for 15min which seems like when the tote is full the flow is greater.

So I’ve emptied the sink bowl which was around half full just to dial it in a little more.

twice a day at the moment seems like it’s good as they were only getting single daily feeds.

Im going To keep to twice daily and see how they fair. 10pm and 5am feedings with lights on 9pm-9am.

Its a quite challenge getting 10/20% each feed lol...

The volume in the tank/tote does affect the delivery volume,
You can't measure say 1 minute then multiple it, it doesn't tally.

Lifting the tote or lowering if possible also has an affect on the delivery volume lol

Tbh I’m not overly worried about 10-20% runoff I can compensate with my EC if needed.

just making observations as I go lol.

I think twice daily is gonna be perfect right now anyway.

If these were in 11L pots I would most likely be doing 3x lol as they’d dry out a lot quicker.

these 18L have been perfect for these 2 and the scrog timing.
