My grow journal - cfl grows

I live in a duplex so i need a filter when I dabble in indoor growing lol. This is my first grow too so I totally know what you mean by checking them daily lol. It's suuuuuch a learning process. I started with 12, now I'm down to 6. One of my plants was a male, 4 died from acts of God, and 1 hermed on me and grew seeds. It didn't get enough sunlight so it stressed into herm. I actually just harvested that one. It flowered 2 months ago, the buds were thin and airy and had seeds. The key is light. More light = bigger Buds I think

Just can't help to check them daily and yes been a good learning experience I really enjoy it.

That's another fear of mine them going Hermie on me but so far so good..

So you grown outdoors?

I think I need to get a hps otherwise I think mine will be pretty airy, but for my first grow I don't expect to much I'll get better as I grow..

I get too carried away in this hobby sometimes.

I get carried away too... like random spontaneous urges to clip all the fan leaves so my lower bud's got more light. Can't say that benefitted me much lol.

My mom lives out in the boonies and I've got them behind her garage.

I think the problem with CFL grows is the light intensity. I think one would need a boatload of bulbs for ample lighting.

I wouldn't worry too much though man, yes your plants are a little on the small side but wow they look amazing this far. They have superb color, and your bud's like I said look just like mine and I get over 8 hours of direct sunlight. So I think your bud's will chunk up just fine :) you just won't yield a half pound per plant, that's all

Yeah haha hopen to she a big difference in the next 15 days at least.. Have my cfl lighting pretty close, would love a HP's right now but moving into warmer weather.. I might put some outside soon good time to do it in aus ATM.

So if the daylight hours are increasing in aus right now and you put them out eventually there will be enough sunlight to sustain vegetative growth. All phytocrome levels in the plant will reduce and the plant will revert back to veg. Not good. I think you are putting way too much thought into your babies. Let them grow as they are brother

Hey guys back again with good and bad news, lol...

OK bad news no longer have my 5 original plants I started with..

And lost some cfl lighting.

Good news is I still have 17 plants from the clones I had previously, took a while to take off but I think there growing alright now, I will share some pics of my current grow..

I'm gonna try a 12/12 perpetual grow start ing soon on what I have adding a plant in my indoor tent once a week...

Next week I'll most likely start as I'll be buying a 400-600 watt HPs I'll be keeping plants small either 1-3 gallon smart pots...

Also I have an ace mix unknown seeds I'll be doing aswell already popped one.

May i ask what happened brother?

Ive been wondering where you went.

Where will you be buying the hps?

Just worries about the heat as summer is coming up so may need to run at night, or have a 250 watt hps with CFLs or led

Thanks mate that's a good deal, I start my new job next week so next week or the week after I'll be buying one, I took another 14 clones today all the older clones are growing beautifully so I'll post some pics later..

I planted one in the back yard I thought was gonna die and it bounced back awesome and its gonna be real compact

Pics of all the up potted clones into 3 gal smart pots and new clones taking today...

2 weeks I'll be starting my 12/12 perpetual grow just need an upgrade of lights to hps and a another small tent for holding my clones.
